Hey Pete, I was able to merge all three posts into one. All of your picture links are restored, now accessible from your member photo albums. Thanks for the help on this one.

Re: DIY: OEM Backup Camera Install With Auto Anytime Camera
Just finished this yesterday including the anytime mod. Thanks for all the help. I still don't know what to do with that piece of foam tape though.
Also, for anyone needing a key switched power source, I used the light blue wire for the Homelink Mirror, in the front center near the windshield. I used a 18-22awg tap connector because the space is tight to work in. Works great just as intended. Thanks again.

Hi Pedro. THANKS for the great write-up. My 2008 Tundra Grade doublecab was pre-wired for the back-up camera, even though it does NOT have the center console or sonar. The only difference is that my overhead console is a different shape, and has only 4 torx head screws instead of 6 like yours. But it still fit like a champ. Your photos were 1000% better than the directions from Toyota. Parts cost $325 including shipping from E-Bay. It would have taken me a lot longer without your photos. This forum is AWSOME!!! Anyone else install the stock rear camera with an after market head unit? I'm planning to go with a Pioneer Nav and would like to use the factory camera. Is this possible?

Yes its possible but you will need a voltage regulator to drop the voltage for the stock camera which is normally supplied from the OEM head unit or monitor its something like 5V or 7V you will need to find a thread with the voltage, and if you check out the "Common Signal Lines" thread in the audio section you will find the colors for the camera connections.

Re: DIY: OEM Backup Camera Install With Auto Anytime Camera
You will need to run a 4 conductor cable from the tailgate to the overhead console, When I added tailgate lock and opener to mine I used a trailer plug so if I wanted to remove the tailgate I could just unplug it follow the existing looms along the chassis and come in through one of the floor grommets.
You will also need a 12VDC plus ground up to the console.
I would suggest doing the anytime modification as that saves you running a reverse wire which is not really needed as you will flip down the monitor when needed thus turning it on.
If you don't want to do that then you need to run the reverse wire.

Who was your seller?
I am seeing a couple of vendors on ebay and both are over $400.00
Re: DIY: OEM Backup Camera Install With Auto Anytime Camera
I tried to install mine in a crew max.
The package came with a piece of paper as template to drill the hole.
When I tried to install it, I notice that the two front screws mate the console to a protrusion in the roof. The way the wire comes out close to one of the screw holes, it interferes with allowing the console to push flush against the roof intrusion.
When I look at pedro's last picture, instead of drilling the hole oriented as toyota says towards the roof, it seems to have been drilled in the curved portion facing the windshield so the wire gets pushed in the cavity instead of interfering.
I plan to tape up that hole and drill a new one in on the drivers' side and towards the windshield in the curved portion.
Also, there are a couple of clips that the oem connetors sit in. One for the camera and I assume the other one maybe for the bluetooth microphone.
Once the connector is attached to the cord from the camera, is it supposed to fit back in that clip, or should I break them and push the connection into that space?
