About 6 months ago I had the 2.4 Ready Lift Leveling kit installed on my 07 Crewmax. Now over this last week I've noticed 3 time while turning sharply to the right I'm hearing 1 loud clunk each time. I've got a sneeking suspicion that I've got a bad ball-joint. Now my question is, due to the Leveling kit is my warranty going to be voided? Anyone have any experience with this
I imagine it would be voided. I would try removing the lift before taking it in. Paying for another alignment would probably be cheaper than the other alternative.

I have had my Top guns customz leveling lift in my garage for 6 months waiting to see how these lifts would do. Think I will wait a little longer before I install and see if any others are having probs.

Yup voided. Toyota is well known to be very, very sticky about warranty regarding any upgrades to their OEM pickup. My last Tundra had 32x11.5x16 mud terrains and they would not fix my brakes under the TSB because they said my oversized tires created the problem. This was from the regional service manager of Washington. It took a threat to sue them for not fulfilling their safety TSB and a VP from Toyota to remedy the situation.
Sounds like you have some bad CV joints. Probably gonna be about $700 per side. That's why you should never put spacers on an IFS - it's just for looks and is bad on the entire suspension and front drive line. I'm waiting for KORE.

Who did the install?
Did they have the proper torque settings?
Have you ever gone back to the shop and had them re-torque the front suspension?
How much brake pad do you have left on the front?
Are the wheel lug nuts tightened properly?
1 loud clunk doesn't sound like a ball joint or a CV joint to me, sounds like something is loose...
But then again...diagnoses over the internet

It says that we would like to know if the person had the truck inspected by a qualified technician who can properly diagnose the source of the problem and let us know so we can offer better assistance for our customers, even if the problem has nothing to do with our product, which I'm sure it doesn't, but we want to help either way. I hope that answers your question MX.

Perfectly, and I also doubt that the problem has anything to do with your product or it's effect on the truck, as I laid out in my 1st post to this thread.
I just think that you needed to post what is quoted above, in this thread, to let your customers know that you will stand behind your product.
I, for one, appreciate that as I have recommended your product dozens of times on this forum.
Thank you and hopefully, Kellyn8 will keep us posted.

Okay I didn't think I'd cause such a stir here. First off, thank you Brian at Ready Lift for your interest in regards to this subject. Ready Lift is a quality company and I'm not saying there product has resulted in my equipment failure.
As for whether ita a CV joint or Ball Joint I'm not sure but if it were a CV Joint I'd think it would be more consistent and I'd get the clunk everytime I fully turned which isn't happening. A very competent suspension facility here in San Diego did the installation and I was very satisfied with their work. They made sure everything was torqued and also checked it after a couple weeks of driving. Basically I've got that feeling that I better remove the leveling kit before I take it into the dealership otherwise I'm gonna be sitting there with a nice hefty bill because my warranty was voided.
Anyone else got any thoughts on whether I should head to the dealership with the leveling kit on or should I take it off?
I'd figure out exactly what the issue is first, before doing anything.
Then, if it's a possible warranty item, you've got some decisions to make.
Has the dealership seen your truck with the lift on during an oil change or other service work?
Do you have a good relationship with the dealership?
Many will go to bat for you and take care of warranty issues, even with aftermarket parts that could have caused the failure.
You would need to remove the lift and have it aligned if you were going to try and hide the modification from them, but I'd make that my last resort.

Nope the dealership hasn't seen my truck yet with the kit installed. It's tough to have a good relationship with the dealer since I'm in San Diego and out here you're just another number. I'm just discouraged by this whole deal and now I'm at that point where I wish I would've kept my '05 dbl cab.
Maybe I'll just drive it till i get catastrophic failure, at least then the guessing game will be over. There's no feeling like that of a snapping ball-joint or the explosion of a CV joint when it let's loose which actually happened to me back when I had a piece o' poop 84' Dodge Daytona. I hope I don't have another 84' Dodge Daytona.
