I purchased this kit from my Toyota dealer and all parts came in except for PRT11-34070-02 the rear swaybar and shocks. I was told that this part number would not be available until the end of May.
PRT11-34070-01
PRT11-34070-02
PRT11-34070-03
Has anyone installed the TRD lowering suspension package on an 2007 Tundra and or have any additional information on the part (PRT11-34070-02) availability?
I went to the nearby dealership and asked, they said they had 2 of everything in the regional warehouse and could get them next day. I am just not willing to spend 1500 on the kit and another 600 on dealer install (to receive warranty coverage). As well the last straw was the fact that you need a new rear sway bar because they wont send you the endlinks that are a different length, end rant.
Anyways it seems to me everything for the kit should be available, and there are pictures of a dc or cm with the kit in another thread just look for it.

I am really confused; when I spoke to TRD on the phone they informed me that there was a problem with packaging, initially. Sent an email to TRD and a day later TRD called. They then informed me that there was a problem with thread pitch on the sway bar mounting assembly and part number PRT11-34070-02 and would not be available until May 16.
Spoke to Toyota Territory today and they informed that they had one PRT11-34070-02 left in stock and I ordered it, and it shipped out this afternoon.
I guess I feel that TRD was not being honest about the part availability problem, but all is well, the final part number that I need is on the way.
The bolts and nuts used to connect the lower end lines to the sway bar are not matched. I went to hardware store to get some new nuts and bolts to complete the install.
So, i guess TRD is right about the sway bar issuse. But if you really want the kit. You could still get it from toyotaterritory. Ask for Jalmar or Omar, they are good guys.
Beside the the nuts for the sway bar, you also need the lock bolts for the front shock
(I don't understand why TRD don't want to include the $2 nuts). Order the nuts in advance, nobody carry them.
PM me if you need any additional information or Pics.

I got the full kit from ToyotaTerritory, and paid $1395 for it.
(You could find pictures of the kit from the this post: 07-08 Tundra TRD Lowering Kits)
I installed the kit myself, without power tools; it took me two days to complete.
The kit supposes to give a 2/4 drop on the truck. I didn't measure my truck before the installation. So, I am not sure what the actual drops are.
The problem i came across is the bolt and nut used to connect the end line to the sway bar. They cross thread each other. See picture below:
The one on top came with the kit; the one below is the replacement i got from hardware store.
No dealer has the top lock nuts for the front shock. I wait for a week, and my local dealer still couldn't get them. So, i re-used the nuts came off the truck. Here is a picture for the front shock installed:
Here are pictures after the installation completed:
The ride was a bit rough than stock but it is not too far from it. However, I haven’t got the alignment done yet. I don't want to rate the ride yet.

Just get the Ground Force kit. Better Price and better kit IMO. Check it out. I'm PMing you right now by the way.

Yea, I just like the idea of no doing a flip kit on the back and replacing the leaf springs instead... I haul my bike in the bed a lot and would like the piece of mind i guess... but I will look around some more and keep that idea in mine... I also have the spindle kit (mcgaughy's) in mind also!

Ground Force kit replaces rear leafs, no flipping the stockers. The TRD kit looks like a rebranded GF kit. Only diff is you can have the GF kit installed with the rear sway bar for less then the price of the TRD kit.
Oh yeah, you don't get all the red paint on the GF kit either.
So with this kit it will re-align? Surprised not to see a spindle drop!

Yesterday, I brought my truck to the dealer for alignment. Now my ride is much smoother (no more vibration). I felt the truck response much better when cutting in and out of traffic.
Next, I am waiting for my neighbor to let me tow his boat to see how the kit affect on towing.
The price for the kit is a bit high, but you pay for what you get. Think about why you buy the tundra for $35,000 but not the F-150 for $25,000. If you take into account about how much the engineering cost per hour (average $40-$150 / hr), the kit is not as expensive as you think. Just different people has different taste and different expectation. Be happy, get whatever is best for you .
