There will be some merit to it in many circumstances. For example, the traction control / auto LSD functions should be useful in winter (I will let you know shortly ).
IMO one of the greatest reasons for the disable would be for enthusiasts, such as those of us who drag race at quarter mile tracks.
I have an 07, what I do is push the button three times then hold turns everything off! But one thing I've noticed is the first time I do a burn one tire will spin then on my second burnout both spin? Does anybody know why?

Exactly, thats why I hope someone comes up with a fix for us 07 owners. The 08's on the first hold down of 3 seconds disables the VSC and turn Auto LSD on and the second hold down of 3 seconds turns it all off like our 07's do. Us 07 owners don't have the VSC off, LSD on option.
In a nutshell here is how it goes if I understand correctly:
2007 trucks:
1. push (tap) button - ATRAC off, VSC on, LSD on
2. hold down button 3 secs - ALL OFF
2008 trucks:
1. push (tap) button - ATRAC off, VSC on, LDS on
2. hold down button 3 secs - ATRAC off, VSC off, LSD on
3. hold down button additional 3 secs - ALL OFF
Us 2007 owners don't have the option #2 that the 08's have and we would love to have it.
You have it right, except you need to replace A-TRAC with TRAC.A-TRAC is only available when in 4WD. There is a big difference betweed A-TRAC and TRAC.
I have not been that impressed with the LSD on. I have realy only noticed it once when the road was a tad wet and I took off from the light firmly not floored maybe 3/4 WOT. She hooked up nice, it was very noticable. Other times I have floored it on dry asphalt and may as well be the same as with the nannies on, spins for ever and finally hooks up. Honestly I would rather have AWD, lower that bitch Reg. cab super charger, yeah thats one bad mofo. Long live the Cyclone.

Go Gator's (again and again and again)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
With all nannies off, my line-locks/burnouts show two even strips of rubber. ATRAC off, VSC off, and ALSD off. In my humble but accurate opinion, ALSD is pretty much worthless. I'm really not a fan of any of these controls, but I'm kind of a purist.

I just wish somebody would come out w/ an actual lsd for them.
I turn everything completely off as soon as I get in the truck and start it up. Its second nature now. I just hold the button down for about 5 seconds and it all turns off.
BOOO one tire fire.... Pulling out onto a road today with everything off I was hoping to get some nice wheel spin, a little sideways, have some fun.... Pull out definitely not getting much traction considering my engine was doing about 5k rpm and I was only doing 10 mph. Looked in the rear view mirror and I have never seen so much smoke come from my truck. It was so thick I could barely see the white car behind me. So when I came home on the same road I was very disappointed to see one black stripe that ran the entire length of the Wendy's on the corner and felt like a retard since everyone at the intersection was probably laughing at how my truck was only spewing smoke from one side. I definitely have been able to leave two stripes before.... So what I gather from all this is that since I have an 07 Im screwed to having a 50/50 chance of looking retarded and melting one tire??

Nice little tidbit about tow/haul mode I found buried in one of the pdf's
TOW/HAUL Control
When tow/haul control is operating, the throttle valve opening angle relationship to the accelerator pedal
angle is increased. As a result, during tow/haul control, acceleration performance is ensured.
Just thought I would add that, dunno if tow/haul makes a difference in acceleration or not but it says it should. Plus I wanted to keep this thread alive.
Some might know this, and some might not. When you hold your VSC button down for three seconds, it turns off the atrac, and vsc.. but turns on the auto lsd. If you hold it down again for 3 more seconds, it turns EVERYTHING off, so you have a fully manual mode. It got frustrating turnig off the vsc button, only to have it come on when the truck sensed ANY body roll. My truck was always lowering the rpms when I tried to take off, or if the road was bumpy. Anyways, just a little info in case you wanted to peel the tires from time to time....or even do a fishtail once in a while. Hope this helps, if you already knew this.....sorry i wasted your time. Unfortunately, this only works on the 2008 model from what I understand....

Thank you so much for this info! I am not kidding, but after nearly 10,000 miles I was getting really tired of having the stability control kick in when I am trying to make some jerk-off in a GTI/Mustang/CIVIC look stupid. Hell, I nearly lost to a Civic the other day...NEARLY! I just left the TV (Football Sunday) after reading this and did countless power slides, to donuts and I think made some poor family coming back from chuch take the Lord's name in vain. AWESOME! I canot wait to start adding power now that I know I can use it. Thank s a ton!

What you said is true, but what makes the biggest difference in acceleration with tow mode, is that the shift points are raised, allowing you stay in a lower gear longer.
This is perfect info. I've had my 08 RCSB andhave been hating this traction control. I havn't read the manul, and havn't been on this forum for a while. I'm going to try the pressing VSC button twice and see what I get. I hope it turns everything off, cause if it does, I'm going to have a new truck all over again!!!

So no 07 tundra help in sight? I feel crippled having to choose one wheel drive to have any freedom. I must admit something though, if it's a clear dry grippy road it tends to spin both (I've seen pairs of decently long stripes left behind) and have the traction I need in a straight line.
With what my 07 will let me do, turn off TRAC but leave on Auto LSD and VSC it doesn't interfere until the speedometer reads 25 mph or more. I can do a beautiful two wheel burnout in something as slick as packed snow and it will actually let me do cookies but some are wild enough it still speaks up. Turn it all off and cookies are slow and boring from only having one tire claw away.
Also on a wet road which is common these times of year you can punch it going say 40mph and it'll jump and wiggle and as soon as it gets exciting the engine powers goes away, I mean way before it become dangerous. Sometimes it didn't even sway but it did sense spinning so I believe the intrusive nature of VSC is more aggressive at 25+ mph. Turn everything off and peg it at 40MPH on that same wet road and you'll light up that rear tire for seemingly ever but it's accelerating very slow getting nothing really to the ground.
Maybe us 07 owners will just have to purchase aftermarket tuners to fix this but I really believe Toyota should enable us to turn off TRAC+VSC and leave on Auto LSD.
