It seems that alot of the people here are stating that they would like to disable TRAC and VSC but leave ALSD on for better tire burning?? Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought the ALSD on this truck was nothing more than an independant wheel brake that senses tire slip and then applies the break to that wheel only. If this is true, this is not going to increase your ability to roast the tires, in fact it would reduce tire spin. Is there any one who can clarify the actual mechanics of the ALSD and how it simulates a limited slip????

I'm not entirely clear on it's pros and cons of cause dual wheel spin but it seems to work like a charm. In extreme slick surfaces like packed snow I activate Auto LSD and turn off TRAC by quickly touching the button and it spins two absolutely, smoothly, and without any drawbacks I could notice. Taking off like this VS everything off including Auto LSD gives you quite the noticeable increase in acceleration that you'd expect too from having two tires scratching away VS one. It really works in my experience. Even if you power break the pickup on a dry road it fixed the one wheel burnout problems and guarantees two at least with the couple I've done and went back to examine. I'm impressed myself and feel like it satisfies my craving for locking the rear end together.
