Some might know this, and some might not. When you hold your VSC button down for three seconds, it turns off the atrac, and vsc.. but turns on the auto lsd. If you hold it down again for 3 more seconds, it turns EVERYTHING off, so you have a fully manual mode. It got frustrating turnig off the vsc button, only to have it come on when the truck sensed ANY body roll. My truck was always lowering the rpms when I tried to take off, or if the road was bumpy. Anyways, just a little info in case you wanted to peel the tires from time to time....or even do a fishtail once in a while. Hope this helps, if you already knew this.....sorry i wasted your time. Unfortunately, this only works on the 2008 model from what I understand....

Cool...will have to try it on my 08...will let you know if it works for me
My truck did the same thing. I was riding with a friend of mine and hit the gas doing about 50, he almost pissed himself! Hit second gear just right! Did you press & hold it for three seconds, and then AGAIN press and hold for ANOTHER three seconds? If you do that, then the traction control should be completely off, but a little advice..... don't turn it completely off in the rain, or you might find yourself sideways... you have already seen what this beast is capabale of.... LOL

It is truly sad that no one reads the owners manuals anymore.
I read the owners manual about vsc etc...I remember it saying to press and hold for 3 seconds once to turn it off...I don't remembering it saying to do it again to turn everything off.

owners manuals are great arent they? my dealer of course knew nothing about the truck so i read the book and u press and release for one function and press and hold again for the other- just as stated in the original post. amazing people dont read those things as so many cars have so many things that are quirky about each model...etc...
Why would you want to turn off the LSD? Aren't you just going to be spinning one wheel?
Yeah thats what I was thinking as well ... VSC is the nanny that senses a wobble and will limit your throttle ... the Auto Limited Slip is so both wheels will spin ... I know in my 2008 if I hit the VSC button "while moving" it turns off Traction control and turns on auto LSD but the VSC is still on ... which if you wanna pull out of an intersection going sideways its not going to happen because the VSC "Vehicle Stability Control" is still on and will limit the throttle once it feels a sideways movement.
If I want to spin em and have nothing messing with me I push it for 3+ seconds while stopped "once" and everything is off "except" for the Auto Limited Slip Differential so both wheels will spin .... am I missing something here?

I was curious when I read this and went to my truck. 07 cm and I held the button in for 3 seconds and the Auto LSD came on with the VSC off. Then I tapped the button again, didn't have to hold it for 3 seconds again, and it turned the Auto LSD off and the VSC was still off. Not sure why I can do this with my 07. Any ideas?

I tried it and WOW its fun! But when I turned everythging off and got on the interstate the truck would not shift past 4th gear, I had to do it manualy. It did not matter what position the shifter was in either.
For those of you that wanna be facetious about this post...... Why do you even post a reply? This website is for all owners who might have a question about anything. Whether it's in the owners manual or not. Yes it's true that only one wheel spins when you take alsd off, but if you don't turn it off, then the traction control comes on if the truck senses any body roll. Pressing it twice for three seconds puts it in complete manual mode. Those of you who have done this know that one wheel spinning without the trac slowing you down, is MUCH faster than the trac on retarding your engine. With the bed bounce, I am constantly losing traction, and if I wanna play from light to light, or do a fishtail, it slows me down. I bought this truck to enjoy myself, and that's what I intend to do. I posted this to potentially help anyone that didn't know this, so if it doesn't apply to you, then let it fly. I hope this post helped at least one person....if it did, then I am happy.
For everyone else with a meaningless post, I hope you never reply to one of mine again.

IF you need to facetious about every single post in this thread, why not just ignore them? ITs much easier that way.
Don't get all worked up about it, just move on. Its that much easier, really.
