TundraGeneral discussion forum for the 2007 and later Toyota Tundra.
This is a discussion thread titled "Get stuck on easy $h#@ ! !", within the Tundra forum, part of the Truck Forums category.
Yesterday I dynamat the pass door and isntalled new speakers. Today it was the drivers side's turn...but I cant get the factory plug out of the window switches! Geeze I get stuck on some of the easiest crap. I have pulled and pressed looking for the release(s) and that thing will not budge. Can anyone shed some light? I appreciate the help.

Yeah I ended up just having my friend hold the door up while I put in the new speakers!
I did not want to break it and it was not budging!

There is a small release tab underneath. Press it in with a small screwdriver or something then pull it out. Trust me, I almost lost it with that stupid thing. I wanted to take a hack saw to it.

I am not sure where this release tab is located, but I will go give it hell again. Thanks for letting me know that I am not crazy for struggling with this!

Thanks to all that have helped thus far. I have all four doors completed, back wall dynamat'ed. I will be working on finishing the wiring in the headliner for the reverse camera and mic install, then the center channel with GPS and Sirius mounts before I pull the dash apart and make all the final connections. Thanks again for all the help. I am taking pics along the way and will be happy once I can say this is finished!
