Thanks for all the good comments!!! I took a few more pictures of the rock sliders. I didn't use the tacoma ones because the gussets were all ready welded to the sliders and I wasnt sure if they would line up right. Thats why I went with the 78" Xtra cab set for $145. I lined them up to the cab on jack stands and figured out the lenght to the frame the legs needed to be. I had to shorten them. It came with 8 legs, but I used 6. They seem strong enough with 6. I dont plan on setting the trucks weight on them. Then I used 2 straight pieces and 4 angle iron pieces as gussets. The flat steel i used at the front mount because angle couldnt go under the frame evenly. I was planning on bolting it, but there were a few tight spots where you cant get on the inside to put the nuts on the bolts. It was good I hadn't drilled any holes when i determined this. So I welded them to the frame. I placed it to the proper height, about a fingers gap between the cab pinch weld and the slider. I put a spot weld on one end then set the height for the other side and tacked. checked all distances then welded a bead. The center leg i put the angle gusset on after the side gussets were welded to the frame. I welded down the sides of the mounting plates, and on the underside of the angle. I did it that way so that if it ever needed to be remove all the weld could be grinded off. Also it could be possible to cut the legs and slide a larger diameter leg over and drill two holes for bolts to have a pins style removal. That would be later if they ever get damaged. They are holding up just fine and have supported weight of a bunch of different guys riding around in the truck. Hope it all makes sense. I had a friend lend a hand who had installed rock sliders on his 93 toyota he installed the 58" on his standard cab a week before I got mine. The extra set of hands is handy when lining everything up.
Here is the picture from the website. They come unpainted and the legs are not welded in place so you can choose your own location. the part number is 120003-1-K. here is the picture on their site.
Nice set up and you'll get a lot of thumbs up from us old school off road guys!
How is your gas mileage, what you gettin on the highway?
when i left 4wheel parts the computer said 10. It went up to 12.2 fairly quickly. I drove up to the mountains over the weekend and it seemed to float around 12. I was around 15 before. It seemed to be getting better towards the end of the tank. We will see on the next one. That tank I did have it in 4Lo for a bit and I floored it to pass everyone on the freeway. It will still move around the slow traffic if you hammer down. I still plan on getting an intake and exhaust.
How much did you pay for the lift, tires, and wheels? Love the look.

$5400 plus tax, for everything installed. Lift, wheels, tires, mounting balancing, alignment, and 3 year parts and labor warranty from the 4 wheel shop. They quoted much higher and I talked them down.
and for another question, these 35" M/T's dont rub at full lock on the wheel. I have only done it on flat ground. but at least i know if i make a u-turn my tires will not rub.
looks good. but in your first post in the pics towards the bottom, it looks like big truck in the middle of rice rocket land haha. oh and someone built their house waaay to close to yours..jk.....
but nice truck.

Yeah man, that's one sweet setup. Looks great! Another nice thing about sliders, round or square, is that you can use them as a jack point for a hi-lift with an adapter.
