OK i jus came back from discount where i was about to order some new wheels and tires
the wheels are the procomp 6047 18x9 and the offset on them is +12mm
and the tires i want to get with them are the BFG 305 65 18 and well on the first call to procomp they said the wheel and tire combo will work on my truck
then they called again and they said that they might rub and i will have to get a smaller tire, a 305 60 or even a 285...
Now what i really want to know is will the 305 65 tires rub with a wheel with that offset cause i really dont want a 285
any help would be greatly appreciated
thanks

I am wondering the same thing. According to BF Goodrich's web site the 305/60/18 tire is 12.2 inches wide (9in Rim) and 32.6 inches tall so on a stock rim I would think it would fit.

You may need to get a wheel with a higher offset. Mine are +30. I have a 3" lift in the front and I rubbed just a bit on the mud flap with the wheel cranked in reverse. I removed the mud flaps and no more rubbing. The 305's look good. I have them and am glad I didn't do 285's.

Reason: Was wrong on offset.
I have my 305/65/18 BFG ATs on the Stock 18" Wheels and had to only cut back the Skid Plate a little to prevent the front tires from rubbing when making wide turns. You would also need a front lift (2.5 inch) I have a readylift 2.5 installed on my front end.
305/65/18 with no front lift kit will rub and definitely will rub on the skid plate too.

Yea well i already got the Toytec 3/1 on it so im hoping its enough.
I already got them ordered so hopefully they work out with out rubbing on the inside of the fenders

Yea well thats not a problem i'll prbly trim it either way just to be on the safe side
Tires are too expecive to risk messing them up

You don't even have to trim the skid plate, a slight bend should suffice...
Before
After
And Complete with Truxxx 3" lift (are they ever really complete?)

well i know the tire will fit, its just that the guy from discount said that since the rim offset is a +12mm they might rub

100% clear (leaves even more room than OEM)
will stick out 63 mm (2.5'') farther. Make sure that you have enough room under the fender. If not, consider narrower tires or higher offset.
Wheelwells Will fill out the wheelwell by extra 19 mm. Make sure that you have enough room under the fender. If not, consider lower profiles or smaller rims.
yea well thats what im worried about the inner wheelwell.. but i guess we'll just have to wait and see they are already on the way and gonna have them test fit them on the truck.

Winslow, Where did you get your 1" coil spacer? Is the picture of the white truck in the gallery with aftermarket wheels have the 305's and 1" spacer only? Thanks
As was said many people have run these tires on the stock rims. If your new rims have the same specs you will be fine. Skid plate bending is all you will have to do. The area of main concern is where the tire can rub the UCA, different rims could cause this, im not sure.
