Default Rust on my chrome front and rear fenders

I have a 2007 double cab and have noticed rust sports on both fenders. Has anybody else noticed this? Is there anything I can do to restore the finish?

I'm imagining that the rust is around the wheel wells? Is it small rust bits? Like little things stuck to the paint?

These huge disc brakes seem to discharge a lot of material, and it likes to stick to the quarter panels and bumpers in direct line of exposure and make a bloody mess.

If it is as I described, your best bet would be a claybar treatment followed by a multi-stage polish/wax application. Meguiars and Mothers both make good consumer grade products for this.

Errr... Just read the thread title again, and noticed the word chrome.

Do you mean chrome bumpers instead of fenders?

If so, there are a bunch of threads covering this already. My rear bumper (front is painted; and plastic for that matter ) had rust on the sides that face forward, and a bit around the back on the sides; again, I'm pretty sure the gigantic brakes caused it. In any event, a little chrome polish and elbow grease takes it right off. Just don't get the chrome polish on the plastic bumper step... it will turn white and look like hell.
