Default Pulled a dumpster Today

Had to move a loaded dumpster today. Every one said I was nuts to try to pull it with my new truck. Stuck it in Four wheel drive and took my foot off the brake. Truck pulled it at idle. My wife was mad at first but later on said she didn't even hear the engine rev. Don't think I would have tried this with my ex-chevy,

I used a piece of steel rod through the hitch pin holes.

4 lo with this trucks first gear and 4.30 gears is a great combo for heavy pulling like this. I use my truck every opportunity I get. I drug a sailboat out of the water when I first got it.

Thats cool.

I pulled my neighbor's Jeep Liberty out of a ditch last week. I have a 2wd and no hitch so I hooked a tow chain to the front tow hooks and pulled her out!

Wish I would've thought to take some pics, especially since I'm a pic whore

Also, if you do that often be careful of tweaking the frame. If you pull with even pressure you're good but you gotta utilize both tow hooks. Something that light and once shouldn't/won't have any effect.

You got any pics of the new setup? What is it? And yeah, I used both hooks w/ 2 tow chains.

I had just the regular tow ball I bought at Wal-mart for such the occasion and also to put the D-ring my buddy gave me on there. Unfortunately, I didn't have the strength of an impact wrench so I couldn't get the ball off there.

My brother found the Toyota hitch (10,000 lbs nonetheless) that came with his 4runner when it was purchased back for the '03 MY. I stuck the D-ring on there and it looks beautifullll. I will post pics after I get back from Church (probably around 12 or 1)

No, you didn't. I didn't mention that before. (2 chains)
