Alright so most probably know I've been looking into getting bigger and better tires but I just wanted to get some opinions on what you think would really fit on my truck...I took two photos to show my current 33" Rugged Trails at full lock both in front of and behind the tires. Looks like a tight fit to me and I'm wondering if 35's would really fit. Was hoping you guys could check out these pics and give me some opinions?? I was thinking of either 285/75/18 Toyo Open Country AT's or 325/65/18 Nitto Terra Grappler's...I know those big Terra Grapplers might not fit but I was thinking I might be able to modify the space in front of the tires and take out some of that plastic and of course the wimpy little flaps to make those 325/65's work...Alright lets hear opinions! Thanks!
P.S.-I know the truck is horribly dirty because I just took it offroading a little over the weekend so get off my back! lol
Yeah man they will fit after some modifications to the inner fender wells and body mount. I wanted to go w/ 35's but didn't want to get into all that!
I've heard I have to modify the body mount but I don't know what that means...Could you tell me where to look in the pics to maybe see what the body mount is?? Thanks for your help.

I've seen some of this area cut off then another piece of steel welded in to retain the strength. They call it "body mount boxed". That's what I saw on a truck around here thats running 35's. Looks good but I didn't want to go hacking around like that.

Damn...I love how the 325/65's look on the Tundra but not sure if I want to hack it up either. I guess my only other options would be a 305/65 or 285/75...Seems I can only get tall and narrow or shorter and wider...No real good in between wide meaty tire.

I know. Thats why I went w/ 325/60/18. When I lift it I'll go 325/65/18 or a little bigger. I just didn't want to deal with all the crap that comes with running 35's with a 3 inch lift at this time.
BTW- what do you mean by body mount, and how do you adjust that?
There really isn't an "adjustment" to the body mount. It is full on modification, meaning cutting and welding to change the shape of the mount and keep the structural strength of the mount. You sometimes need to do this to narrow the mount so a larger tire will fit and not hit the mount.
The mount, as stated earlier, is the metal peice jutting out from the frame behind the front tire with the rubber bushing between the body and the metal peice. IT is a body mount becuase the this is one fo the points the body "mounts" to the frame.

Yep. I totally agree! Thats what I've seen.... a full-out modification. Just can't slap with a hammer a few times
