So, how can one get rid of the seat belt chime without having to make these stupid plastic pieces? Thats not an answer for me.

Great idea but if you don't want to go to all that trouble you can just buy one at www.clickercheater.com.

I have another way of doing this. Go to any toyota dealer and ask for free for a driver and passenger seat belt extender that snaps into the seat belt clicker. Just say you're too fat with a winter coat on to reach over and buckle and need that extra 6-8" of length to make it fit. Looks like the misses is pleased with your 'design' though. I didn't want to say 'fit' and thought 'design' sounded more technical.

Easiest way to do it, was when I went to the dealer to get a partial 30k service....they did it for free, and also tweaked some other things in the computer for me....for free. Cool guy.

P.S. for those who posted the links to clicker cheater, and talked about the seat belt extender....those are not the MXSJW way....CBTMA founding father is cheap. Those things take more time and money.

BTW, I'm not kissing his arse....it just is what it is.

The last time I had the truck in for service, I just asked the service dude to do mine. He wasn't sure he could, so I brought in the selectable electronic factory sheet and they did it for free.

By far the easiest and cleanest fix!

But I'm definitely voting for MXSJW He had the best DIY post and his sales pitch/pics were the best!

Dealer will now disable both passenger and Driver's seatbelt chime for 2007's and above, had it done two days ago and had the built in Alarm activated.-- Free, the Assistant Service Manager said it was cool to learn he could activate the alarm, was going to do it on his own. Did all the electronic mods for free.
