WOW...WTF

Drop the attitude man...when you put yourself out there on a forum like this for feedback...you have to expect that not everyone is going to agree with you. Suck it up! Seems to me that the general consensus is not in your favor..SO WHAT...GET OVER IT and stop being a D$ck just because youre embarrassed for hacking up your new Tundra!
No cover for you>>>>

Ok, you are officially nuts. To hack a truck like that with 50 miles on it is just crazy. Glad you could do it, but I doubt there are few that will follow suit...

First off man, you gotta relax. Yeah there's some D/Bs on here that jump people's $hit for something that can't be bought in a store, however, right inside this forum that have replied to you are some people that have some really creative, not store bought, mods.

With that said, you have a good start, you just posted up something that isn't finished yet.

You need to fill out that gap to make it look right. I like where you are going with this because it is like the Gen1 trucks, the guage cluster is tight enough that you could leave it, but the gap between the silver bezel and the guage cluster needs to be capped off.

Find some flexible rubber or plastic in black that you can cut and form around the opening in th bezel that you made and use something like Hi-strength 90 or epoxy to weld it on, then get some touch up paint to finish off the cut edge. Take some time with a fine file and make sure the edge is nice and smooth and there arent any sharp lines.

If you put some more work into this and get it to a true done point or even if you would have asked some opinions like (What should I do to finish this off) I guarantee that you would have had a much better response by this crowd and you would have received some really good ideas that would really make that dash "POP", this way you would really be a contestant in the DIY contest.

So you have a good start, now just follow through and get it to the finished look and you too will appreciate it much more!!!

Let me see any of you come out with a real mod you do yourself. Nothing is ever going to be perfect, and if you don't like it, so be it, it was simple a small contest for personal DIY mods, don't like it...BOUNCE!!! Go drive your stock piece of plastic and let it look like every other one thats on the road....at least I've got the balls to take some action, while all you haters got nothing to show but stupid bolt ons everyone and their mother has.....

What a great forum, I buy a new truck, try a simple mod, (who cares about replacing that cover anyway), and all I do is get bashed by a bunch of haters who do nothing but surf the internet for crap that bolts on, and then you get on here and say ohohoh looky look I made a mod, I'm cool....get a life and live outside of the box instead of being like everyone else out there....you guys are lame, go rub your shifter I'm sure it will make you feel better for putting 20" tires and rims and thinking your badass, your not!.....

go poop on yourself...
Hmmmm, where to start? Nice second post.

First off, you reply to my infraction warning automatic PM asking me what I am expecting you to do next. Apparently you didn't read the content of the PM, because I gave you explicit notice of why you received it, AND I also gave you two links of what to do next and how to correct the problem. Yet you still didn't fix anything and you come here and type out a reply that bashes our forum community.

Secondly, I'm not going to delete this thread (yet) or ban you (yet), because I want others to see what you've written and learn from you. You set a great bad example for what NOT to do. Attitude, posting style, and general demeaner.

Thirdly, you're the one who set a poll asking if your mod "sucked balls" (spelled out 3 diferent ways). So who's the one to blame here? Why are you attacking us if you already thought your mod was 75% terrible? I don't get it.

And finally, I bet you are a troll from another site just coming here to stir the pot on our contest. Furthermore, if that is the case, the problem will rectify itself shortly I'm sure of it.

Have a nice day Eric.

Regards,
TS Support Team

Either way cutting a giant hole in your dash then polling the forum if it sucks three ways or is it cool leads me to believe

You can call it a creative mod if you like, most will call it a GIANT MISHAPED HOLE IN YOUR DASH.

What's your next mod railroad tie Bumpers? Giant Flag poll on the roof? Spray painted windows "Tint"?

Can't wait to see.

I'm impressed...very classy response Imdone!

nlxskunk is definitely on to something here, my neighbor has an 06 and hates the new gauge tunnels (they really don't bother me), so it seems there is an interest out there for this kind of mod.

I hope he keeps his ego/attitude in check and uses Imdone suggestions. It may turn out to be a pretty cool project.
