Its easy. Once you get the center piece off just flip it around and take a screw driver and pop them off from the back.

I have some chrome wheels that on my tundra that are flaking and was going to use them as a winter set...what do i need to to to prep chrome before i paint them black? any ideas? didnt know if i needed to remove the chrome somehow...

i'd like to see some pics of your katzkins also...i have a reg cab long bed and the cloth seats are the only thing i really dont like. whered u get em, how much, etc...

Not trying to be rude or anything but if you read the first post of this thread it goes into detail everything you need and need to do to paint your wheels yourself.

not trying to be rude but im trying to find out if i need to treat chrome wheels any different than the factory wheels. my question is to anybody that might have the expertise to know if i need to remove the chrome from the wheel since it is flaking in places. thanks for the input, hopefully i can get some input that has painted CHROME. thanks again

With anything you paint sanding them down will only make the new paint stick better. From what I read they are already chipping and you are going to use them as a winter set, so i assume you have another set of wheels already. If they are already chipping and starting to look like crap might as well go ahead and strip all the chrome off it anyway.
