A couple questions?

Can you get the piggy back with a couple or a few different maps? Does it have switches to choose different maps? I f not can we donwload the map to reprogram. For example say I have a cat back and a intake adn want to try the map with high tess gas for maximum power?

Are they planning on removing all the speed limiters adn goveners down the road?

Thanks for all the info..

What I'm concerned with is that will this unit be able to do all the speed limiter, shift points, and traction control stuff down the road or will you have to buy the new unit? If it's just a matter of a reprogram I'm sure that can be done, but if it requires wires to be ran different will it still work?

A piggy back unit should not need to re wired, but with as many computers as these new cars have today that really is a good question?

The tuner comes with 2 tunes. 1 for regular gas and 1 for premimum for performance. Yes its switched. If you get the flux unit in addition to the tuner you get more tuning options They are working on the speed limiter.
All this is covered in previous posts here and in the group buy thread.

This piggy back unit is fully upgradable. They are working on limiters and traction control and when complete, will release a free update for us to download. Those with Flux can update their units themselves. Those without will need to see a tuner or send the unit back to Unichip to be updated.

I said NO to FLUX as I already have an OBDII USB cord that does everything FLUX does, except it does it on a laptop (But, you can not reflash the UNICHIP, a moot point for me) I don't think that option is worth $300!

Not sure why people waste their $ on G-Techs either--the laptop can do the same thing by reading speed through ECU.

Spoke to Unichip today. They are hoping the harnesses come in this week and that we should hopefully get them by the end of next week.

According to the guy I spoke with last week (not Mike, the other guy) they have not sent out final confirmation/billing.
Some folks paid the full amount on their own, still others asked if they could pay in full at the time they paid the deposit.
As was stated earler, Unichip is a reputable company. We will be billed at the appropriate time.
