Hey guys, I've been out of town for a few days and couldn't post. Here is a message from Mike. It should answer some of your questions.
Quick update,
The harnesses are on their way to Unichip! They finished building them early last week! They shipped late last week and we except them to be here next Monday or Tuesday. Ones we get the kits we need a few days to test each harness. When the harness passes it will go to the production department to be matched with the other components need for the kit. We will then start contacting each GB person by phone or email to make sure we set the correct map to each truck and get a credit card # to bill the remaining balance. We are right on schedule and we are very excited to get these kits out to all of you!
Have a great day!

Mike is also looking for an 06 Tundra for testing new intakes.
We are looking for a 06 Tundra 4.7L that we could barrow for tuning. We need it for a day and a-half. In return we will install 1 of 2 intakes. A Trueflow Sealed system or a K&N CAI. We can also offer a discount on a Unichip. Here’s the down side! The Tundra needs to be local to us here in Hillsboro Oregon.

Also, anyone interested in purchasing a Unichip from now on will have to go through an authorized retailer or Unichip directly. The TS sponsored Group Buy is officially closed and I can no longer add any more names to our list. I will simply refer you to the website or you can contact Mike directly. Mike may be willing to offer a TS member discount, but it won't be at the GB price.
Thanks

I know what SCT/Diablo charges for their stuff....and Unichip was the first with it out..and the GB was $599 so that is a little better...if it performs as advertsied it may be worth it to take advantage of a CAI, headers and CB systems as it has been proven how rich the trucks are from the factory....but most of the power they are gaining is by adjusting the a/f which always frees power.

unichip has produts for many vehciles. as you know or might not know, there is only so much you can gain on a gas engine. my gain was 26 HP. if thats not enough, save you money.
and use it for gas.
add headers, cat back exhaust, cai, & the unichip, it will equal some power.
or why not spend the 7grand for the trd supercharger. now you will have the big gain's. you were looking for. what unichip does, is adjust air/fuel mixtures, & timing, & shift point's.
as far as the limitors this is a on going problem, since toyota keeps changing there ecu unit's & codes each year.
and if you knew how many codes you need to get through to disable the limitors, and all the time it would take, maybe just maybe, you might be willing to listen, & open your mind, and pockets. persoanlly i would pay a grand for the removal of the limitors. but that's me.
i know how hard it is. this is a old thread and post going on for years now.
other vehcile companys like ford, chevy, dodge etc, might be more willing to give out there codes. toyota WILL NOT.
gorilla
I had one on my 01 tundra. Bought it 3 years ago (unichip), so it is a legit company, and the gains are noticable. It also really brings out other modifications like intake/exhaust/headers. You have to remember, back with the first gen tundras, unichip was the only one to step up and provide us with a tuner. So for me its kinda a big thank you to stay some what loyal. The fact that they stepped up again for this model tundra is pretty cool too.

I was on a 3hr. drive to the lake. Cruise was set at 80mph. Had to bump it up a few times to 90mph. The truck was as stable, if not more so, than my Camry.

I was coming from Destin, Florida while Eduordo was in the Gulf. I'll admit, I was in a pretty good cross-wind, but still, I just don't see this truck being driven stock at 120-130 like many would like to, but that's just my opinion. Then again, this is my first truck and I'm comparing it to all of the sports cars that I have previously driven, so maybe I'm biased. Anyway, I am still pushing Mike and company to do what they can to remove it for you guys

Do you believe in Santa? The Easter Bunny? Tooth Fairy? Chupacabra perhaps?
Come on guys, I'm tired of the comments such as "does it exist", "something smells fishy", blah, blah, blah. The proof is not hard to find. Do some simple research such as visiting their website, or doing a google search. Everyone who has paid their deposit knows that it is legit and the tuners will be on their way to us early next week. Mike Timmons and Jack Friedman of Unichip have made themselves available to anyone with questions.

The TRD supercharger had a part number for how long??? Only saw pictures and people saying thay saw this and that.Guess what it did come out. I know people have spent $$$ on intakes and headers, and have never seen numbers to prove what they claim. But they still bought them. Now you have a proven company, dropping a new product. And you still have people that dont beleave.IMO, I could give a flying #$@$ what others think and do,if you have the money try it if you want.If you dont, or want more proof, sit back and watch. Some take risks and are rewarded, and some are burned, but thats how we learn. And inprove our trucks,So sit back on yor thumb, and watch the show!!!!!
