Well, mine won't arrive until Saturday. Man that sucks. I was hoping to get it sooner. Looks like some of you will be able to post results pretty soon. I'll be able to give a pretty good report on mpg increases if Gustav heads towards Louisiana because I'm hitting the road and getting the hell out of Dodge!

Mine finally shipped out today; however, I doubt I will get it until next week because it takes awhile for a truck to get from Oregon to Phila. Damn! I was hoping to have it on before the holiday weekend. Oh well. Hopefully, others will post some info when they get theirs on the truck.
hooray! thanks nola! i got mine today and nearly pi$$ed in my pants with excitement. excellent packaging too! makes me feel confident that this baby withstood any fedex handlers.
i was going to install it, but i had to take off for school. the instructions are straight forward and suggest installing it behind the glovebox (i have an '06 dc). instructions say to disconnect the battery. i don't have a problem doing that but will that erase my homelink settings? i don't mind re-programming the clock and radio presets, but the homelink is horrible. i have 2 separate gates to program and they are on steep slopes, so running back and forth to the truck is a pain. PLUS since our gates are rolling codes, if i reprogram my truck, i have to program 4 other vehicles. what a pain!
please tell me the homelink settings will keep if disconnecting the battery to install my chip......

I wonder why it's necessary to disconnect the battery just to unplug the ecu?
I disconnected it when I was soldering connections for my URD chip, but later we unplugged the ecu to double check connections without disconnecting the neg terminal on the batt.
UNA is a pnp, Why would you need to disconnect the batt? Someone help me here. Please don't do this unless it's absolutely certain you don't need to disconnect. By all means, follow the manufacturer's instructions. I'm just always asking why.

Its probably just a precaution. Anytime you are connecting/disconnecting electronics, you should disconnect the battery in order to eliminate any chance of a short.

i'm cool with safety first. it has saved me fingers and money over and over again. but do you think the homelink will loose it's info?

I have my unichip sitting on my workbench...picked it up in person last night. They were a nice group of guys at unichip up there in Hillsboro...I believe it was Dillon that I BSed with for a few minutes (wife and kid were anxiously waiting in truck). I just missed gawking over the supercharged tundra...a big red lifted truck as it was pulling out of the parking lot when I pulled up. It supposedly put 380 to the wheels on the unichip dyno with the toyota supplied s/c tune. That # seemed low to me but the big heavy wheels and oversized tires probably cost quite a bit of power...now to see what it makes tuned.
I am most likely going to install my unichip at lunch today so my impressions will be posted VERY soon. I finished installing my tow mirrors and airraid intake last night & early this morning since I am going on a 300 mile trip this weekend and still getting my stuff together.
Got the unichip this afternoon and installed it right off in the 100* sun. Had to remove the TRD airbox and looosen the black box between the air box and ecu to have room to install the plugs. Got it all installed and in my excitement forgot to plug in the maf senor and as a result, got cel. Also had the traction control light flashing along with the 4lo light. Plugged in the maf and went to pick up the gf with the lights still flashing.
It seemed that the engine reved more freely and although I didnt get on it to hard, the accelleration seemed better also. (the 600 bucks I spent on it may have influanced my perception) Too soon to tell about milage of course
Now how do I reset the cel and other lights? I may be forced to read the rest of the instructions
First impressions are improved performance, but nothing overwhelming. I am on the low octane map at the moment. May go out after a shower and dinner to get better fuel and try some harder runs. Any opionions about octane boosters?

Octane boosters are worthless. The little bottles you buy actually raise the octane by something like .2.
