No, this is not Gadget. I'm someone that was waiting for positive results from unichip but, instead, I'm getting a lot of and "don't worry about the numbers... everything is perfect" rhetoric.

It doesn't look like unichip is willing to release anything other than statements that everything is perfect. I'm not asking for schematics of their black box. If they don't want to release dyno numbers fine. I'm asking for an excel spreadsheet that maps afr, timing and load - any $50 data logger can do that. They put their "Use Cases" out there and claimed perfection. Asking for proof of a manufacturer’s claim is something every potential customer should do.

That may be true, but some of us have years of experience tuning that have "experienced" anything over stoich is BAAAAD! Stoichiometric is not something that the EPA dreamed up. It is a scientific term that measures chemically balanced mixtures. Lean conditions in some of the scenarios put forth by unichip are BAAAAD.

No one is bashing anyone. There are some serious questions being raised about what their product is doing to their customer's engines. I'm asking them to stand behind their claims with something... anything.
Well im going to get a custom tune done tommorow ,--just want get this done right and be done with it. Wish me luck.
This may be all that is wrong here. Relying on canned tunes from small private companies never works because none of them do the R&D needed to make the tune work for all customers (different altitudes, engine wear, temperatures etc). That is not a knock against Unichip, just stating that folks who want to hod rod stuff have to have the means to adjust the air/fuel mix and the rest themselves, or massive grief can result.
I remember back in the '80s when the original 1227747 ECM was first getting broken and people could tweak the code for the first time. Jobber tunes for this camshaft and that stroker kit never worked and always had driveability issues. Only the very basic "stage 1 performance chip" type tunes meant to only add a couple degrees spark advance to an otherwise stock engine actually did something without screwing up the driveability to some degree.
The guy i talked to said MY truck may be off from the truck unichip used for there testing (factory settings), so im going to ask for a before (Unichip install ), then Unichip stock and then post tune dyno.
He also said they just did a Supercharged 5.7 tundra so ill be asking how that went.

Hey, you worked on the 747's too? Great ECM's , just were slow to sample via laptop.

Does anyone have the Flux software? Can you data log? I have read info on Unichips website about it. Seems pretty sweet. It would be great to hear someone's real world feedback on the software.

I'm interested to hear how your custom tune came out. Any word?

The tuner couldnt get my truck to dyno in third, -it kept down shifting to second so thats what these runs are at.
First run done with no unichip, #2 unchip with unichips map, #3 custom tune.

I told him about sometimes getting a "bog" or hesitation with "b" map and he said that was because of too much timing
(computer was retarding timing as shown on run below )

Good to see some positive results. Look at the difference between Unichip's tune and your custom tune - The base map was almost better than Unichip's tune. This is why custom tuning is SO IMPORTANT - The difference you are seeing between runs #2 and #3 is the difference in voltage outputs from your truck's sensors vs. the truck that Unichip tuned and developed the map for.
The one thing I noticed when I did custom tuning was a large wedge of mid-range torque like shown in your first graph, and improved throttle response.
