Not much happens until they get well into boost...you gotta remember that these diesels would have the horsepower of a small 4 cylinder without lots of boost.
It's funny when people like YOU without a CLUE try to ack like they have one...LOL
Diesel's are TQ not HP and HP is BYPRODUCT of TQ and TQ always builds from low to high and usually a limit of RPM for a diesel is about 3500 since it makes all it's TQ prior to that.
Do us a favor and go learn something...
Even non-boosted diesel's make massive TQ due to the fact they are 18-1 compression ratio.
I don't see that as a fight. It is easier to keep all info related to the Unichip in this thread. Mike and those guys check this thread every so often, and its better to keep all updates and questions in this thread instead of starting two or three new ones. The other thread was simply meant to be a poll gauging everyone's general satisfaction or dissatisfaction. Not being a forum Nazi, but it just makes sense.

After putting several tanks of gas through my Tundra with the Unichip installed I have noticed an increase in fuel mileage (hard to say exactly how much, but around 1-1.5 mpg). However, the increase in fuel mileage is if you calculate your fuel mileage manually. My computer read out is consistently reading 1-2 mpg less than the calculated mileage (not that it matters). Before the chip the two were always within .1 mpg. My guess is that the computer read out is not corrected for the chip because it is getting its signal before the chip (could be wrong).

I got my truck back from Unichip today!!! new fuel economy map and custom tuned for all three settings more info on the Unichip poll thread!!!
Please post some video from inside the truck showing the tach and speedo. I'd love to see how yours compares to all of the other 0-110 videos on youtube. That would be a huge help, and I'd be able to see just how much it actually changed it's perfromance.
Thank you!
Russ
What was the reason for the extra dyno run, did you add some changes? Great results.
Because the initial runs were in second gear (truck kept downshifting)
--the tuner figured out how to get it to dyno in fourth.
No changes were made.

Does the trick to get the truck to dyno in 4th cause any error codes to come up?
I don't know, that would have to be answered by the tuner (Andrew)
