Re: Unichip Tuner
I have put aside some money for a tuner/chip. By the time they come out, I will have spent it on something goofy like food and bills.

Time is money. The quicker my truck, the less time it takes me to get to where I'm going and back. More fun that way also.

That's one of the reasons I want to get this done NOW. I'm about due for tires. I won't mind frying these off the rim. If I pay $1000 for new tires, it might take a little bit (very little bit) of the fun out of smokin' them.....

Re: Unichip Tuner
About how much time, price difference, and advantages for the Flux capacitor thingy (sorry, couldn't help it) ?
EDIT: By advantages, I mean how much more user AND tuner adjustability would it have? If it's just user adjustability, I don't mind sending e-mail tunes back and forth for the base unit.

The Flux unit will not make any additional power as of now. It only has additional features such as tire size calibrator, dyno software, 0-60 & 1/4 mile timer, it can provide diagnostics and delete trouble codes among some other cool features. In the future, it will be capable of end user tuning, such as downloading email tunes, eliminating speed limiter, adjusting rpm limiter, traction control features, etc. You can't currently download tunes. The unit can only be programmed by Unichip or a certified tuner. The Flux would be a good investment if your serious about performance.
