Default CARB exempt CAI

Does anyone have a CARB exempt/legal CAI? Here in communist CA if you dont have that sticker, you cant smog. Ive looked at the manufactures sites and it doesnt seem like anyone has a CARB legal one. I ran a AEM Brute Force on my 94 Jeep and it was great, but when i took it to get smogged the guy looked the sticker number up online before starting the tests at all. I dont want to have to deal with reinstalling the stock airbox everytime i have to get it smogged /checked. Thanks for the help guys!

Ya, I have heard that is over priced and essentially the same thing as the stock airbox...

Not sure which ones do, but look on the bright side, you do not have to get it smogged for the first 5 years..................

In NW CA, we only have to a smog check if you buy a used vehicle. If you keep your vehicle, you never have to get a vehicle inspected.

^Agreed^, and the TRD CAI is CARB approved. You even get a little sticker for the inside of your hood saying so.

interesting. The TRD kit may be the answer. Im just worried about the CARB stuff due to movin cross country as soon as school is over. Ill be bouncin around all over the place and figure its best to try and stay as legal as possible in all states.

50 state emissions legal. Thats one of the reasons I decided on the TRD. also fits like a glove, looks good, and they don't make huge HP gain claims, just a realistic one of about 8 hp @ 5600 rpm. I love mine although it IS a little spendy. I would get it again if given a choice.
This CAI topic has been kicked around here at TS for as long as I have been here. That and an exhaust system were my first mods.
This is where I got mine, you may be able to find it cheaper. good luck.
