Okay boys and girls finally got around to installing my Truxx 3&1 lift over the past weekend with some help and finally got some pics this evening and thought I would share. I have to say this kits pretty complete and I also have to say from what have read were other did not install the rear block and said its level without it, I don't see how that could be. I think with it, it is almost level to maybe a slight rake. I may end up getting a larger block for the rear in the future since I like some rake for no butt sag when its loaded up in the rear. I will say I do haul around about a 200lbs tool chest in the rear, so maybe thats why it almost looks level to me.
Some lessons learned from the install, Instructions that come with the kit sucks. I found the instructions from Rough Country gave better pictures but I still came up with a few tricks to help along the way.
Found that if you use a ratchet strap to pull the top a arm back down to meet the spindle it was much easier than trying to muscle it in place. Also for the gravel guard removal after removing all bolts and screws the front slides to the drivers side to unhook from the truck frame. For the spacer kit for the gravel guard I thought it be a good idea to weld the 3 spacers in place for the rear this will make it easier to put it back in and future removal since you wont have to fight aligning the spacer, guard and bolts at the same time (got to love knowing some one with the right tools). The only other pain in the butt thing was putting the nut and lock washer on the drivers side diff spacer since there is not much room for your hand and fingers in there.
Well next to come will be wheels and tires, so I have to hook up with my local tire guy since they are trying to get some wheel and tires in for me to do some compairing on the truck and see what I can cram under the Tundra, going to see if I can get some 35" under there.
Okay on to some pics, I did try to find 2 at the same angle to show difference in height.

Rest are just pics after lift as you can see the CV angles are not to bad at all IMO nor is the balljoint at the spindle.

Love that leveled look! Very nice. Let us know how it goes with the 35's...I'm interested to hear which ones fit without rubbing anything including the body mount behind the front tires.

Thanks all these are the wheel I have on the way in to the local shop so I can get a closer look of it on the Tundra so I can decide which I like more.
Oh thought I mention the ride has not changed much at all other than I can notice the nose in not pointed down as much now. I just don't know what look best against the Blue Streak color. Once I pick the wheels it will be time to see what tire I can fit under it.
nice, trust me you dont need a larger block, your truck will settle some, i have the truxxx kit and my truck settled and has a slight rake to it...anyway i like the bottom rims the best...

I have to agree with the others, the last set of rims would look sharp. BTW, are you getting the rims from a local dealer? What kind of dealer are they? i.e Discount Tire, Big O, etc.

I working with a local owned tire/wheel shop not one of the big chain shops out there, it may cost me a little more in the end but they have been good enough to get in all 4 for me to compare look and fitment on my truck, so I can decide on the one I like best before I buy. They are also willing to fit a few different tire sizes and brands for me to verify fit too.

Yes they are all Gear Alloy wheels and backspacing vary from 30 to 32 I believe from specs I have seen and they do come in the 5X150 pattern too.
I am split between 1 and 4 myself but I wanted to see what the others would look like on the truck too and the tire shop is willing to get them all in for me to see.
looks great. thats the same setup im plannin on going with...and i have to have that block. looks dumb w/o it empty and horrendous towing or anything in the bed. trucks have to have some rake to look good, and butt sag looks horrible on any truck, lowerd or lifted....if u gonna lift it, lift it, not just half of it.

yeah, but i think you can have too much rake...my truck sits just about perfect now with the truxxx lift and my new shoes and meat
