Another piece of advice...remove any stray rocks from your lawn BEFORE you mow it.

Not only dents but holy cow that paint is REALLY thin. I was washing out my bed standing on the rear tire and the garden hose tore the crap outta that paint just by rubbing on it. And no there wasn't a bunch of dirt on the hose. I read about how thin this paint is but man you really have to watch it. My 01 Cummins took a rock the size of a canolop right in the same spot as this little hose incident and barely left a dent but didn't even mess the paint up. I love my truck but man this is pretty lame. Now I am kinda scared to even use a pressure washer on this truck.......

I have the same complaint. Seems that the metal is like a pop can. I have numerous small dents that can't be explained.

No real problems with dents but I take soooooo many precautions. Every time we go to wally world I park out in the middle of nowhere. My son ALWAYS--(he's 16) has to make the same comment. "I think I see wal-mart in the distance".

I of course have to make a comment back. "Son, I'm only doing it for the exercise".

I bought a "tire step" just so I can wash and wax her without caving in a panel.

Same here. I brushed against a bush that my other trucks would not have noticed and another dent is born. Thats the only one I can account for.
I park in the back of parking lots and avoid crowding anyone and still get small dents in the rear panels. (From chevy/ford owners?}
I dread going along the narrow trails this fall deer hunting. The stuff that would'nt even scrach the paint on other trucks may cave in the sides of this truck. One of my only complaints about this truck. I think someone was asleep at the wheel when choosing the skin material.

I see so many problems makes me wonder if I should have just bought a new 2008. tailgate, paint problems, thin metal everywhere. I have been a big toyota fan for years and my 2001 corolla has never had anything but oil changes and air filter. Is toyota going to the dogs or is it just that you only hear negatives as people tend to complain more than praise. Kind of got me worried. Don't think you should have to baby a truck. Other than engine and transmission is there anything else good about my truck. Don't get me wrong I love it but am worried with all I read.
