Default Aftermarket Tire & Wheel Questions

Hi guys, I'm looking to get some new wheels & tires on the Tundra and have a couple of questions.

    I have a 2007 5.7L TRD Doublecab.

I went to Discount Tire today and this is what I am looking at:

Moto Metal MO951 18X9 Wheels with +30 Offset

    Nitto Terra Grappler 285/65/18 Tires

I have no suspension mods, leveling kit, etc., and don't want to do any either. I just want some nicer shoes that stick out the side of the wheel wells by about 1-2".

Will this set up give me what I want and the "look" that I am after? If anyone has pics of something like this, please post 'em.

Also, the Salesman there says the Nitto's are a great buy for the money......as I was also looking at the BFG All Terrain TA KO's.....but they are about $50 more per tire. He says I will get about 50K Miles out of either brand. For those of you that have the Nittos, have you been pleased with them, durability, etc???

    Thanks guys!

    JOHN

I know this is a super noob question but only recently Ive been considering a lift and tires and wheels and dont know what all this stands for, "18X9 Wheels with +30 Offset Nitto Terra Grappler 285/65/18 Tires"
18X9 Im sure that means they are 18" rims but what is the 9?
    +30 offset means?
and with the tires what do the 3 things mean?

+30 distance wheel mounts &center line or How far they stick out compared to fender well! can be + or - to much may need fender flare. Tires, fits 18 in rim, sidewall 65 from bead to tread ,tire all the way around 285 . or something like that!!

Heres a handy little sheet that lets you breakdown wheel width and given offset to backspacing. Just makes it easier for me to figure out how much something will tuck/stick out instead of having to do the math every time.

The red numbers are the backspacing on the rims. Backspacing is the distance from the inside edge of the wheel to the mounting surface of the wheel. Its another way of putting offset really, in that they both tell you the same thing, but since we dont use metric measurements in the US, most can more easily understand things when put in terms of inches instead of mm.
