If you dont mind me asking, how much were the Nittos?
I probably payed a little more for them than what you could find on the internet since I went to a local shop but I didn't have to pay shipping or anything, which I prefer on tires and wheels. Plus I was able to get them to test fit several tires brands and wheels before I decided on which I liked the look of the most and of course how well they fit and were they rubbed. So in the long run think I made out pretty well. They cost me $375 a tires plus I got a good price on wheels and they pulled my TPMS sensors out of my stock wheels and rebalanced them free of charge.

If you want to check real quick you could always grab some painters tape place a piece at the body mount location and if it rubs there it will leave a mark or tear the tape. I would bet your okay wince your only doing a 305 tire.

I like the tube idea. I think I will have to do that as well. It's not that they really bother me (yet) but i can see problems down the road if I ever get the scratch for a set of wheels. Where do you stash it?

Actually in about a few hours the last rubbing will be taken care of on the body mount that still needs modding and look as good as factory.

Okay did my DIY project today after completing the modification of the passenger side body mount, yeah no more rubbing any were. I figured I would post up a few picstures of what my DIY project looks like finished up and cost me about $15.00 bucks. No more worries about TPMS sensors and warning light on the dash. After airing it up to about 40lbs and reseting the light it turned off again.

Sorry didn't take any pictures along the way of doing the mod but I will get a picture in the morning of the completed product and give you a better idea of what It takes.

Just so you know if you go with some of the other brand tires you may not have to do the body mount from all my researching before I picked the tires I went with in the end. They will be under 35" inflated and under 12.5" wide, a good choice maybe the Toyo tires in AT or MT they both are in the proper size and there are a few others here running them without any issues other than fender well and maybe the gravel guard.

Okay on to the pictures and explaination the best I can. I marked up the picture with red lines were I used a cutting wheel to cut 5" then basicly took a hammer and slapped in inward which bends the front half of the mount toward the rear of the truck. By doing this it allow for were you see the white marker area is were the rub actually occurs. Next while pushing the metal piece you cut back with a pry bar tack weld the corner so now you can grind the other ares off were you have excess metal now you have it pushed inward. Next weld it all back up and grind it away to make it all pretty again. Last hit it with some paint to cover it all up. I will say its a bit of work but if you have the access to the right tools it makes things easier. I prefered this method over just cutting or grinding the corner away since it would leave a not so factory look to it and leave a place for the tire to possible hang if it ever got that far back. Hope this helps some.

This should net you about 1/2" to 1" of clearance depending on how far back you can hammer the cut metal piece but remember there is a bolt and washer back behind the area.

Stock and with red lines on were I made cuts...

All completed.....
