Default Bilstein 5100 Installed

i finished installing the bilstein 5100 adjustable shocks and ill post more pictures after i get off work, i am going to be putting 1 inch blocks in tonight and i will take some more pictures after that is done also, so far i am impressed with the shocks the ride seems the same as stock if not better. i took it down whoop trail yesterday for a test and it seemed like the shocks were a little softer than the stock and it rode a lot better. The shocks make the front end a little bit higher than the back so the blocks are probably needed for it to be level, if you have any questions feel free to ask

im installing the rear tonight too but the rear shocks to give any lift there just an inch longer, you need blocks to lift the back

that will look sick if you powder coat them black, theres a blue truck where i live leveled out with black rims and a black grill and it looks pretty bad@$$, are you putting in the shocks yourself?

Mclovinr, I'm considering the same shocks for replacement of my TRD Bilsteins. Can you take a picture of how they're adjustable in height?

I've read they're adjustable from 0-2.5" in height from stock, what do you have yours set at?

is an alignment required with just the shocks?? I know you have to have it done if you go with the spacers

Dang, you got me interested in the 5100 bilsteins too lol, nice and cheap way to get a little lift safely. How do you guys think the moto metal 951b (the black wheel) would look on a blue streak tundra? And would I have to change out my stock BFG's for the moto metal wheel? Sorry to go off topic, but when you said there was a blue truck with black wheels... made me think there ain't any blue streak trucks I've seen with black wheels and I like black wheels but wasan't sure how they look on a blue streak tundra. Anyways keep this thread going I want to see how it goes for you all. Oh yeah and btw your thread title says "1500" not "5100" just a heads up hehe.

Let us know what clip position you set it on and how/if ride was changed. I'm curious to find out if it gets "bouncier" with each higher position.

You can't tell anything by the 2 pics because the angles are no good. It needs to be a side view pic of the whole truck from a standing position.

If I lay down by my wheel, I can make my Tacoma look like it has 30 inches of lift on the front end!!! Hmmmm.... now theres an idea

Glad I dont have to pay for gas! My job kicks ***!
