Just a little info on tow mirrors. I traded regular mirrors off my sr5 with tow pack. For tow mirrors. They fit nice and plugged right in. trucks with sport mirrors can not be swapped for tow mirrors because you need the 8 wire plug. Easy way to tell is to pull the corner trim off the inside door and look in. also you do not have to pull the door panel off. i did this when I put my on. Pull the corner trim and the little push in button on the front of trim panel closest to the hinges. You’ll have enough room to undo the nut and swap the mirrors. Don’t drop the nut. It took me 10 minutes to do both sides. Good luck.

This is very old hat. Most of us who have the 07's who done the swap could have told you the same thing you told us. Just a year sooner. Anyway, thanks for the "old" news.
i did a whole thread n how to wire up the lights that wont work on the trucks wo the correct wiring. oh and the tow pkg doesnt have anything to do w it, its heated vs not heated to have the right oem wiring. but thats been posted time and time again also.
Not necessarily. I've said a few times that my CM had standard sport mirrors. All they did was tilt mechanically. They did not have defrosters and I looked at the wiring harness and it had all the wiring. I swapt my mirrors with tow mirrors and everything on them works. I guess I got lucky.
