I hate to say it, but apples to apples, the stock SRT-10 is gonna beat the stock Tundra on the track and the highway. Yes, you could put a S/C on the tundra and maybe beat the SRT-10, but that's not apples to apples. With giggle juice and a S/C I'm pretty sure the Tundra will whoop him, but again, that's not apples to apples. With that said, yes I'd still rather own a Tundra than an SRT-10.

I registered to this site for the sole reason to read this thread. See, i raced the company vehicle for Panama City Toyota, as we were the main event for a charity show and go as part of the Emerald Coast Cruizin. I believe im the only recorded race between you TRD SC Tundra's, and the Viper Truck.

The Tundra, a spared no expence company truck, fresh engine with the trd supercharger and other unlisted mods. Im an intake and exhaust but otherwise stock Srt-10 with 80,000 HARD Miles on engine and stock clutch. We raced 8 times. I won 5. The three i lost were hotlapped races that boiled my clutch lines, causing my pressure plate not to release, eliminating third gear. Trap speed was only 71. Inherent flaw in the plastic slave cylinders of our truck, but remedied by the viper slave conversion kits.

I cant post pics (military computer) or videos but you can youtube them or check them out on Breakaway Dragway. Although im curious which ones they chose to post. Im the Red Regular Cab with viper across the windshield. You may also see my burnout competition, a 90 second stationary and 660 foot burnout at 120mph. http://www.vtcoa.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29120&highlight=660

They never pulled me out of the hole, and i never saw their truck after the light greened. That is untill the clutch overheated. I ran 8.2-8.7 (traction) Their best of the night was an 8.58 driven by Ronnie McBride Sales Director. Breakaway is there home track and the one they test and tune on and having raced on the previous year for the same event.. But my first visit and first trip down their track beat them by 4 lengths.

Was i Impressed?! **** YEAH. These tundras are dollar for dollar the best money spent on a truck. Every single stat recorded for them, is better than the 3 big automakers and the titan EXCEPT

0-60,
0-100-0,
1/8 mile,
1/4mile,
horsepower,
torque, and
top speed.

Those are held by the Srt-10.
So hats off to the tundra guys, with just 5k invested you can run, just behind a stock srt-10. At least second fastest is still faster than most. Although the same 5k invested in FI for the Srt-10 has you 750-1000 hp. So can you truely compare Supercharged to NA, Modded to Stock, Automatic to manual, Radials to streets. Apples to Oranges I say, no replacement for displacement.

See you buy a Srt-10 for show, prestige, speed, handling, and the thrill of blowing tires off at 75. The tundra, for comfort, towing capacity, reliability, fuel economy, quality and warranty. But, which turns heads? Ever been asked to pop your hood? Ever had a corvette "flirt" with you at a light. Walked down a saleen, or pulled a roush lightning? Ever felt 172 MPH in a 5300 lb brick?

If you have a vehicle and want to race me around northwest florida, im always open for challenges. Being listed as the fastest truck in 850, i defend my title weekly, and will meet you at your track of choice within 2 hours of my home. Call me out on a thread or email me, we can post it on here, my forum VTCOA.com, or even keep it our little secret if there is some money in the game. Be the first to set a record in your vehicle, ill be your test subject.

hi, the srt10 can have a twin turbo and 1000HP.
the tundra so far can have atrd s/c
there is no comparison.

the bigger motor will have the race every time, depending on how much money he/she wants to spend.

stock srt10 & stock 5.7 again the srt10 will win. this is a no brainer.

Is it only an 1/8th mile track? I wonder what the results would be in the 1/4 mile. Whats the fastest you've run in the 1/4 Viperam? Oh and welcome to the forums!

Sorry, but the supercharged RCSB Tundra is faster than the SRT-10.

Same magazine, both trucks as delivered.

Can't argue with the numbers, but the Supercharged Tundra wasn't quite showroom stock. Lowering and great tires.

Hi buddy.

The lowering kit and 22" rims are TRD parts also, just like the supercharger. Strictly speaking if you follow that thinking, the SRT-10 wins because all its goodies are factory installed, not dealer installed like the supercharged Tundra. A normal 5.7 RCSB has no prayer against the SRT-10 so we would be done.

BTW hows work out there? Seeing any slowdown or still OK?

I think a Tundra RCSB (stock execpt for supercharger) would be a drivers race against a Stock RCSB Viper Truck. Thats all.

Oilpatch Work in this part of Alberta seems pretty strong, execpt if your involved in well serviceing. They have seen a slow down.

The lowering kit may have helped a little at the top end because of the better aerodynamics but Those tires 20" and larger brakes did nothing but hurt the 1/4 mile times . They may have helped with braking and slalom course but only hurt in a drag race .
