viperam please don't take it personal. here i have found out, no matter what you say, there is always going to be so many to combat what you say.
so it's simple. wherever you live, if there is a track. get anyone with the gutt's to run you at the track. and post the results.
that is the only way to shut them up.
i'm with you i know what a v10 viper motor can do, please the 5.7 can't.
plain & simple
by the way, many are running my 4.7 anyway, just trying to start something.
they don't have the trd s/c 5.7. so don't even barther.
my track on wed & fri nights run $20 all night long, open to the public, or at least it used to be moroso before they changed there name. they just opened.
i can't get anyone to run me either, so don't feel bad, & i have a 05 4.7 LOL
gorilla
Looks like a quote from Wikipedia... I took a look at other SRT-10 dyno charts and serious power does not come into the picture until 2400-2500 rpm.
Hey those numbers do look familiar, not where i got my numbers tho.
450 hp is at 4th gear 32 mph,
MPH:32
Axle Ratio: 4.88
Transmis Ratio: 1:1 in 4th gear
Tire 41.5
The math adds up to 450 hp at 1383 rpm
And to get to 1800 rpm your at 46 mph and that puts it at 523hp!!!
So hows that for 93 octane PUMP GAS brick! What else does it take to get a point across to you.

I couldn't see what that dyno attachment belongs to, since it doesn't specify... either way those are some very impressive dyno #s, but obviously its not from a stock vram. correct me if I'm wrong.

YOU CANNOT COMPARE your imported tonka toy to my supertruck. Your vehicle was never designed to run with my truck and it cannot and NEVER will. Our research and development is too far ahead of yours for you to ever keep up.

You come here to praise our Tundras, then you bash them with senseless disregard? HA! You have insulted Toyota, my forum community, and my moderators. You don't have to go home, but you can't stay here. bye

We match Supercharger, tune, exhaust, and tires, its a joke, and you know it. Its ignorant and foolish to think otherwise. If you disagree and want to represent your forum. RACE ME. I welcome it. Tell me where.

Learning how to read a dyno might be a good first step
That's torque you're reading, not horsepower. The horsepower on your attached dyno is about 140hp at 32mph, not 450 and about 240hp at 46mph
That truck is far from stock as most stock SRT-10's dyno around 430hp to the wheels.

He had some valid points and I'm glad he was here - too bad he had to be a d*ck in post #66. Anyway, the initial argument was a stock SRT-10 against a S/C 5.7 Tundra, right? OF COURSE it's apples and oranges, who cares! Just because one is blown doesn't mean they both have to be - then there would be no comparison! It's just a theoretical scenario. We're talking 504 forced-induction horsepower vs. 505 naturally aspirated horsepower with similar weight trucks in a drag race. Not talking handling or top speed or any of that mumbo jumbo. I think it would be a very close race. All the thoughts of fuel efficiency, reliability, cost, etc., are nice, but irrelevant.
Now an SRT-10 vs. an X-Runner? Look out. I wonder how many "Killed an SRT-10 today" threads they have over at their site...

My question is, why compare a supercharged 5.7l V8 to a 8.3l V10? It's not apples to apples.
Now compare a SC'd 5.7 to one of those other POS Dodge V8's with a Whipple Charger... that's a fair comparison (well, not really ). Hemi or not, they're still POS's.
Correct, SC Tundra to an SRT-10 is a jaded comparison from the start because the SC is not factory installed. Nonetheless that is the comparison the OP put forth, and there is solid data available to show the Tundra is faster.
Both trucks could legitimately line up against each other at a dragstrip anywhere, and I don't think either driver would be worried about the apples / orange / vegetables business when the tree drops.
Piling on more mods to turn the tide for the loser is 100% schoolyard. You can pour money into a Yugo to make a 10 second ride, but then it would no longer be a Yugo, and that is where the apples to oranges complaints need to kick in big time.
id love to actually see the race btween the viper truck and the sc tundra would be cool just to see street trucks with that much power run. the viperram guy was funny i loved his r/d is way ahead for the viper comment. Do they even still make viper trucks? what r/d? i hardly even ever see the viper truck on the road anymore LOL. and you can make anything fast if ya put enough money into it.
I was trying to figure how much they cost. I guess for 50k it better be at least 1sec faster A RCSB with the SC is puttting down about the same HP and its lighter. I think it would be a good race. And for 20k less than the Dodge
