Default Supercharged Tundra Vs. SRT-10

SRT-10:
The truck houses the highest displacement engine in a factory pickup truck--the same 8.3-liter V-10 that powers the all-new 2003 Dodge Viper.
If it's power you're after, this truck sets out to deliver it, with 500 horsepower and 525 lb.-ft. of torque. The truck goes from 0 to 60 in approximately five seconds and tops out at about 150 mph.

Supercharged Tundra:
Unique design fully integrated into the engine with the latest generation Eaton® Twin Vortices System (TVS) roots-type rotor pack. ---The twin four-lobe rotors feature 160-degree twist improves air-handling, noise, and vibration characteristics - Kit includes: -- High flow fuel injectors, single belt drive, and lower heat range iridium-tip spark plugs. -- Water-to-air intercooler system with a custom low temperature radiator (LTR) -- A new performance air Intake system is included in the kit with a TRD re-useable performance filter, Intake Flow Accelerator and a larger upper air box lid with a filter service gauge. -- 50-State emissions legal. Power: 504hp up from 381hp / torque 550lb-ft up from 401lb-ft.

It is known around here that stock 5.7 RCSB's will run almost door to door with a stock Ram SRT-10. The SRT might only get it by one length or so. With a S/C the Tundra would flat our MURDER a Ram SRT-10.

...Hopefully a few peeps will chime in but some guys on here with RCSB's have run into them on the streets and strips and did not really get beat.

It makes all the difference if the SRT-10 is an RCSB or performance bus.

Unbolt the S/C from te Tundra an see what happens, or Slap on a Paxton to the SRT then compare.

The SRT is a monster, especially once s/c'ed and its an easy conversion.

Its really not an even comparison.

Well yeah it really is
Compare it by the cubic inch,HP per liter,N/A or S/C

The Tundra is much more impressive per dollar invested

If its not really a comparison, then why did my stock DOUBLE CAB Tundra hang with a RCSB SRT-10 from 60-95 and only lost by 1.5 trucks to 115 when my top speed limiter kicked in?

You are right, it really is no comparison - a RCSB Tundra would have eaten its lunch in stock form. Supercharged RCSB Tundra would pretty much murder one.

What a waste of $50k+!!! Sink some more money into it so you can keep up with a truck that costs half as much.

Oh yeah, and they guy I raced said his runs 11's...HA HA HA - what, in the 1/8th?

Definitely gotta agree there. The Tundra gives up a whopping 2.6 liters - that's the size of a large 4 banger!

Do a little more homework. Some of the quickest times for RCSB's are NOT on dragtimes lol. What you think every single fastest time for any vehicle in the world is on dragtimes lol?? Nobody gives a $hit about that site. Just look at the list of 1/4 times on THIS SITE and report back...they're in the 13's.

Slightly modified Ls will be able to keep up/ beat an SRT10. It would not surprise me that a S/Ced Tundra or maybe even one wtih CAI/Exhaust, long tubes and a tune would be able to beat one as well.

Just b/c you have 500 hp in the Ram doesn't mean you can plant it to get the ground. I guess that Tremec has trouble planting it all, and even with the tires being as wide as they are in the rear, it's still difficult.

Just so you know those trucks in that vid have WAY more power than that vette. My dad had that exact C6. The automatic convetible C6's with the LS2 only put down about 320-330rwhp in stock form. Now if that was a manual coupe with Z51 package it would be whooping those trucks...oh and if a guy was driving lol.

Lightning's don't come with S/C'ers do they???
Can't believe an SRT can take a Vett.
To be fair though the starts should have been switched, the guy blowing the horn is going to have a BIG advantage.

Lets look at the factors:

-Girl driver in vette
-Automatic tranny in vette (most driveline loss of all vettes)
-Convertible vette...means heaviest version of the Corvette
-320rwhp

Now for the Lightning:
-Light weight single cab and probably weight reduction!
-Guy driver!
-Probably small pulley, headers, intake, tune!
-400+ rwhp is easy!

Now for the Ram:
-Light weight single cab and probably weight reduction!
-Guy driver!
-8.4L V-10!!
-500 crank hp!
-Probably had intake/tune/headers/exhaust

As usual when all the advantages are on the side opposite the vette it STILL manages to beat or tie the competition!

...Put a stock C6 Z06 out there and see what happens haha.

The guy driving the SRT can snap a gear pretty good, considering its a manual tranny with truck shifter.

The Ford sounds pretty mean, maybe its modded.

That Vette is the slowest production C6 vette, a converttible with 4 spd auto, and a girl driving. You can see her just floor it, and the the traction control kicks in. Had the Vette done a small burn out, then disabled trac-control, it would have launched alot harder.

Agree big time. My dad's had a few C6's and they launch muuch better with a 6spd manual and a guy driving lol.

There has only been one quarter mile time for a super charged tundra. That time was not very good for so much power. But it was on par with the 2003 Ford and SRT. The thing that scares me, no one has addressed drive shaft speed for the tundra. Everyone wants top speed limiter disabled on a truck with split drive shafts (Dbl Cab, Crew Max) what about the balance of the shaft.
