MPG will definitely go down with a bigger and heavier MT tire. Also as for the rub I doubt he has many issues with 33" tires. I just put on some 35" Toyo OC's and my rubbing was minor. Only had to bend the skidplate a little and push in the plastic a little in front of the tires.

yes, the traction control light flashes when i get on it hard. i'm taking it to toyota to get this fixed in a couple of days. it has something to do with the vsc having to be zeroed in. basically, it means the computer needs to know that the suspension and tire setup has changed. once it's adjusted then it should run like stock. in most cases it will, but there are a few members here that still problems afterwards.
You will know if they rub, you'll hear it!

There's no reason to look.

I've only had them on for a few days but I'd say 2mpg loss at most. Not horrible. In a few days I will be doing a 250 mile drive so I will know exactly how much the tires affected mpg.

Not too bad I guess.. What's the average tread life on those Toyo OC M/T's? 25k?

Not sure...I have the Toyo AT's and they have a 50k mile tread warranty.

still on the same tank so there's nothing to report here, but i think 5.7 is pretty accurate with his statement. 1-2mpg loss should be expected depending on your driving habit.
