I wasn't aware of one being available for the 5.7

Do you know something we don't yet

Bolting something like a universal turbo kit on would be the easiest part. The problem will be tuning for it - as of right now I don't think there's a reliable way to tune for a turbo setup due to the lack of availability of a tuner. I don't even think the unichip piggyback will have enough correction capability to get the ECM to fuel for any larger amounts of boost. A standalone aftermarket ECM also won't work because our stock ECMs also control the transmission.

Yea most "performance" mods for the 5.7 Tundra are pretty much pointless right now. You won't realize the true gains until somebody comes out with a true all around tuner.

Screw tuning. Add a turbo and then a progressive methanol injection kit. You tune for knock so all you need to monitor is knock. Then pull fuel and add alky under boost until it's at it's max before knock and then take it back a notch or two. Done and done. Should be able to run about 10psi or more with factory compression I would imagine. It's not that hard really.

^^ LOL. right!! ya just throw 10 pounds of boost into it. and then try to throw in some meth, when you hear the knock.

only problem is, at the same time as you get any indication of knock. you'll also hear alot of noises. that sound like a grenade going off. that will be all you ring lands breaking off. which means, bye bye engine. not sure if that was a serious post, or not. but it was good for a laugh either way.

but yes, as others have said. chances are, you will be screwed until a proper form of tuning comes out. but i was thinking, if you put in bigger injectors. a unichip might be able to tune for it. all the ecm does, is increase the duty cycle on the injectors, when it reads lean on your O2 sensors.(at least thats how any standard ecm operates). so with a bigger injector, you wont be near topped out on your duty cycle.
