Can't he just do what people in this thread are doing?
They won't touch it until they find out how other dealers are taking care of it. I work at a company that builds dashes for all the makes and we have these white blocks that Chrysler uses that would work but I would rather let Toyota fix it so if there is a problem later I can return it to them. As for the rubber hose cure I would imagine there would be a squeak when the rubber dries out.
Man... I didn't want to think about or see the sinking dash for a very long time, so I didn't bother looking since it was under my dash cover. But yesterday I manned up and looked.. I GOT IT

X2
Had my truck for 3 weeks and just looked for it. Never saw it since I don't sit over there.. I don't have a dash cover so I threw my work gloves over there. Out of site, out of mind.. At least until I go to the dealer for my first oil change...

I refuse to look at mine.....don't want to find out if there is a problem....I have to deal with my tailgate deforming so only one problem at a time....don't want to overwhelm the dealer...
Two weeks ago I cleaned all my windows, inside and out. No sinking dash for sure (I looked). Yesterday, I notice that I've got it also, identical to the before picture up top. Sweet.

Thanks. I wasn't trying to make any list, just show a quick fix for something pretty annoying. Honestly I never noticed it until the other member here pointed it out, then I would notice it every time I get in my truck. When I was poking around up under the dash, it seemed like the plastic panels don't really fit together very well. At least not nearly as well as my wife's 06 RAV4. Oh well, it looks acceptable now.
ya I drove my gf's 06 RAV4 last night and the dash seems a lot 'tighter' and well-built vs. our tundras...

Well, I searched out a Tundra forum to try and find out the best way to get up under the dash, via radio or glove box. Have an '04 Tundra with 22k. No sinking, but at certain temperatures, the dash creaks and groans, like plastic vibrating together. Thought I'd like to try a foam rubber or something similar to keep things snug. Looks like I found the answer! Thanks!
Took mine to the dealership to get an oil change and adjust the right hand side of the dash. They did that but now it has sunk about 8" over. I'm thinking when they lifted the corner the felt on the second clip fell out. I'm just going to fix it myself when the weather warms up.
So I read this thred last night....this morning got into my truck and the first thing I looked at was the right side of the dash and sure enough it's sagging!! Then all I did on my 45 minute ride into work was look and the damn thing!! I guess I'll have to take into the dealer.
I loked at my truck today and I got that sinking feeling also. I was so hoping to make past 1600KM before I had to bring it into the dealer for any work. Oh well, I made it past 300KM so now it's going in on thursday for them to look at and fix the dash. I wonder if I can get them to up the volume on the radio too. :^)
