This is lame. I thought we were going to finally get to see some stuff. I don't think anyone really cares about how to put a Supercharger on the truck. I don't see how putting on the Supercharger yourself is a smart move. Unless your just a mechanic junky and like to work on trucks and also wanting to save the $500-600 for installation. Even then, I don't think it's worth putting it on yourself since the warranty on the S/c is reduced to like 12 months or something like that.
Will it take another month to edit the Dyno and track video?

The only thing that bothered me was he said "you need a special tool to to remove the fuel pump sending unit, but use these channel locks as a substitute" I figured he would say substitute but we will use the correct tool here.
The dealer that did my lower ball joint and brake cylinder work in warranty used those same channel locks, how do I know, the scars are all over the tie rods and other places. I'm not apposed to improvising tools, Ive done a fair share of that, I just expected more from my dealer at the time.
Wish all dealer work was done to the standard shown on this video.
I wonder if they put the more experienced techs on a job like this. Is there any course a tech has to go through to do this kind of work? I see the attention to detail and excellent work done in the video (nice work, Buzz - and great last name by the way), and I wonder if my dealer is going to do things like remove the hood, or tape off the fender while removing the bumper cover, or use an engine crane to carefully lower the supercharger in. I'm sure the instructions are pretty comprehensive, but will they know for sure to use the longer bolt for the VSC dump and little things like that? I'd really like to ask if the guy doing the work has supercharger installing experience without sounding rude. Am I out of line here?
I'm just not at all used to having other people work on my vehicles - this is by far the most technologically complex vehicle I've ever owned and I feel like I have no other choice kind of. I also bought the s/c kit and installation right along with the truck, and to be honest, a job like this is probably right at or just beyond my ability with such a new engine with all the hoses, wires, and computer contolled stuff all over the place. There are NO check engine lights on an old Dodge with a 440! You listen, smell, and feel!! The number check lights and indicators on this Tundra is kind of ridiculous, and clearly built for the individual who simply drives and nothing else. TPMS??!! Give me a break! I'm starting to sound old.

I didn't know the low temp radiator was that big. Is it that size for every kit? Even the 4x4 w/ towing package?
The kit you see in the video is the only kit available for the Tundra. It includes all Tundras. But the LTR will be the same for all applications including the Sequoia. It will not interfere with the factory supplied trans cooler or affect the normal operation of the truck.

The special tool required is very expensive and difficult to get in the shade-tree market. Our goal was to provide an acceptable alternative and to show its effective use. As you can see in the video, the fuel pump assembly retaining ring is uneffected by our use of channel-locks. If its use would have compromised the value of the truck in any way, we wouldn't have used it.

Put your fears to rest. The dealership has access to a wealth of knowledge concerning the installation. The instructions are clear and concise. Also, there are echelons of experience in the Toyota training system, and they will not put an inexperienced tech on this job.
Thank you for all of the compliments and criticsm. We made this video for the Toyota community, and we appreciate all of the input. There will definitley be more in the future.
