So, I just installed the Old Man Emu 2.5" coils and shocks up front and my truck now sits perfectly level. The front suspension has not had any time to settle, but I doubt that it will settle very much. The rear is still the stock TRD suspension.
I want to lift the rear of the truck 1" or less since I will be using my Tundra to tow a trailer. I don't want to run airbags because they are not designed for off-road use. I want to maintain the factory ride, so I don't want to use any additional springs. Lift blocks will work and are cheap, but don't add anything other than height.
Has anyone installed just the Total Chaos lift shackles,
without the Deaver leaf springs? These do not cost much more than blocks and if anything, I think they would add a small amount of travel? However I am no suspension expert and would appreciate input to the possible benefits or drawbacks of lift shackles.
