Well I do like to share ideas with other Tundra owners, I am just suprised more people have not jumpped on this cause I recall there was alot of folks that were looking for a way to do this in the past but didn't have a way till now.

Where can you get the control module from?

Best Prices for the modules that I have found are on ebay (search "pac tr-7"). But you can also sometimes find them at a local stereo/alarm installing shop since these moduels can be used for more than what I used it for depending on how you program them. Soem times these things are called alpine bypass modules too, it just what they orginally were designed to do. I use this same module for a pulse counter in my auto tailgate opener project.

Yes the dash light do not change function so after you start the truck the light will be on as if you hit the button for the 5 seconds and if you like to turn it off just hit the normal vsc button on the dash and everything goes off again. You can also put a switch inline with say the wiring going to the vsc switch this way it functions normaly unless you have the swicth on then it will automaticly bypass it for you at each start cycle.
This is great ,,,,,, with my 08 rcsb sport one has to stop and hold ,,,,,, that is'nt practical as the hormones sometimes need you to jump on it when a situation arises and stopping is not an option,,,,,,,,,,,,great job
WT is the man! I did his tailgate latch mod on my truck and am also installing an actuator to remotely open my toolbox...(also on a separate dash switch) pretty sweet!

Oh yeah... Those TR-7 modules ROCK!
Well glad you got things working and yes them TR-7 unit are the snitz and you can come up with all sorts of ideas for there use.
i take all my nannies off by pressing the vsc button it feels better but does it really make a difference in performance? i have a 09 5.7 dc i need to get pics soon lol
What is the VSC (forgive my ignorance, i just didnt wanna look in the book!)
I thought that button was only for off roading situations where you would need the limited slip
VSC = Vehicle Stability Control
Used to help keep the vehicle on the road when it thinks there some slipping occuring in the wheels by apply braking to the wheel that is breaking loose from bad weather or hard acceleration. Thus people don't like it when it kicks in on its own around turns or during hard take offs.
Well glad there are a few more TS members finding this mod worth the little work and time it takes. I will say since I wrote this up I did add a switch inline with the modules wiring going to the VSC switch so its in the panel right next to it so now I can keep it totaly disabled and let it run as stock or flip the switch and have it disable the VSC each time the truck starts.
