Just wondering if any other guys have the same legit complaint that I do....the back seat R and L side headrests block rear view somewhat when looking to back up, pass, lane checking or whatever. I am planning on ordering 2 headrests to match the center shorter one to replace the existing tall ones, which will allow more visibility. I haven't priced them yet, but I am sure they aint cheep. Just wondering if Toyota has addressed this....could save a couple of buck$ if they have.
I only have a "problem" when I am pulling in the garage. While it would be easier with smaller headrests, it isn't anything that pulling in slower hasn't fixed.

I was JUST complaining about this on my way home from Lowes earlier! I couldnt see if everything was riding ok in the bed cuz how high the headrests are!
Could do what my buddy and his old lady did. They are a little "older". He's been driving a beat up 88 chevy for the last 320,000 miles and finally brought a brand new silverado single cab. Didnt like his headrest, so he took a hacksaw to it. His old lady said she didnt like hers either cuz it messed up her hair.... so off with the passenger side one too! The trucks has 700 miles on it.... SHEESH
Yeah, I don't like them either for the same reason. Never thought about replacing them with the center rest. That's a good idea if it doesn't turn out to cost a fortune.

There is another thread out here on the headrest issue. I have a DC with a cargo box under the rear seats. My headresrs are in there. If I have a passenger, I slide them in for them.

This is a problem with any truck that has proper headrests for the rear passengers. Like guntech, I just take them out and store them under the seat when not in use. No hacksaw needed :/

Then their head would be in the way. You might as well give them a headrest.
I removed mine and keep them in the door slots (next to the cup holders) in my DC. Before you go and order those "shorty" headrests, try and fit the one you do have into the slots where the tall ones go.
I took mine out not long after getting the truck.
by request of all people the wife! we usually don't have a lot of people in the truck but i keep them close by for when we do.
I agree the small one in the middle might be the way to go on the other two.
took 'em out and threw them away the day I bought the truck...they obstructed my view.
