Default getting ready to buy

Hello Everyone. I have been lurking around the site for a week or two. There is a bunch of great information on here. Seems like everyone is very fanatical about their trucks.

After looking around a bunch of trucks, I am pretty certain that i want a new 2008 tundra SR 5 with the 5.7 V-8 2 wheel drive.

The biggest hold back is that my parking garage at work has a 6' 4" clearance. According to the toyota website, this truck has a height of 75.8 inches (6' 3 and change). I even measured one in at the boat ramp today and it seems like the measurement is spot on.

I am so nervous that the idiot who measured the exact height of everything in the parking garage many many years ago did not do the most accurate job. or that stuff has moved over the years and less than a half an inch isnt much room for error.

Does anyone have any suggestions on a way to lower the truck slightly without compromising performance? Anyone with experience driving in low parking garages?

I like the truck, but am not in a position to find a new job where the truck will fit (I know some one would suggest that).

Thanks for the help

Anything else I need to look out for or options to get? I have read about the bed bounce (which seems to be the only problem that the 08s are encountering ( so it seems from what i have read here))

Get one from the dealer and test drive it to your parking garage.... i use my antenna as a tester... its about 3 inches taller than the truck i think...

Most parking garage signs have a little lee-way as well just in case.... but I wouldnt trust that.

Only way to find out is the test drive.. .hell, make the salesman drive it into the garage.... then you are super safe!
