This is a discussion thread titled "spray on bed liners", within the Tundra forum, part of the Truck Forums category.
I was a bit concerned that my Line-X would scratch items that I put in my bed, though I have not experienced this. In fact I have found it to be the opposite, is there any truth to this?

Well, yea, I do think LINE-X could scratch some things. I don't think I would place fine furniture on it without some protection.
I got a regular Line-X for $400 after a $50 mil discount. They did what 123Gone described above with the tailgate screws and bed bolts, although they sprayed over the bolted on tiedown points at each corner and the two body plugs at the front of the bed.

Bedrug: First of all, I'm a authorized Bedrug dealer, so don't think I only like to talk about LINE-X. Bedrug is a good product for what it is. But, just like everything else, it has its pros and cons. Bedrug is good for light to moderate duty. Most (but not all) debris and liquids will wash right out of it. You can tear the knap if you abuse it. Bedrug will look nicer longer if you have a tonneau cover. Keep in mind that it only comes in gray.
I tell many of my customers that buying a bedliner is like buying tires. If you walk into a tire store, you see tires, they all look the same, and they are all made of rubber. However, they can have VERY different physical properties. In addition, you can buy four tires for $100 or you can buy one tire for $400. Spray-on bedliners work the same way.
Rhino vs. LINE-X: LINE-X has a 31% higher tear resistance than Rhino Tuff Grip and Hardline. LINE-X literally has more than double the tear strength of Rhino Tuff Stuff (older product but they are still selling it). LINE-X Xtra (resists fading) contains a Dupont Kevlar micro pulp (Kevlar is 5 times stronger than steel). Some Rhino dealers have an optional UV topcoat, but it's not as durable as LINE-X Xtra. If Rhino is right for you, then you should buy it, but don't think than Rhino and LINE-X are equivalent products.
