Unfortunately, all my problems were noticed/occurred after warranty expired....I put a lot of miles on it (46K in 18 months) in a short time, but a $40K plus truck should last longer than this.....The things I mentioned on "not like" list is just my personal opinion, and I can live with those, but the problem areas are not what I'm used to from Toyota vehicles.....

Also, as for comments by Slackjaw, I think I bought the right truck...Toyota advertised it as being able to tow 10,000 lbs or so, bragged about huge disc brakes, and touted Toyota quality. My truck fills my needs, I just wished the overall quality of construction and materials were up to what I expected from Toyota based on my past experience with all my Toyota vehicles....

I would have to say this...if anyone expects any more than 30 or 36,000 miles out of a set of brakes any more these days they have to be kidding. Ive owned a few vehicles from many manu's the past few years and the Tundra i must say has been the best by far. I personally like the "cheap" interior as its all hard plastic and thus much much easier to keep clean and just wipe down. I use my truck on our dairy farm everyday so this is sorta important to me for those nites i wanna go out on the town....Overall i had my trans replaced at 400 miles because of the clunking problem that has been well documented in the past...after that nothing..and i am not one bit dissappointed in my truck or Toyota!

i think most people wish toyota would have thought things out more on this truck. pulls, hauls like a champ, but when your not working the truck people just expect a better ride. the tundra's interior is far from a work truck. could you imaging throwing a set of keys on the dash or anything for that matter. come on, a painted dash.

I think toyota tried too hard to break into the mainstream truck market. They wanted to appeal to the big 3 buyers as well. When you start looking at the competition, you end up with an interior like we have..... oh well, it seems to have worked as there are hundreds of members here that the 2nd generation tundra is their first toyota...... Being a die hard toyota fan, this truck is my 5th toyota truck and I will never drive anything else.....well maybe if I could get my hands on a old FJ......

My Tundra is the best work truck interior I've had in 30 some odd years of construction. The only reason I ever threw keys or anything else on the dash of my Fords, Chevys and Gmcs is there was no where else to put anything - other than a crap design glove box on the other side of the cab from the driver. Don't have to put anything on the dash of the Tundra. It has lots of storage and organization space - that the driver can easily reach.

Comfortable for the road trips. Pretty easy to clean. Plastic interior takes the bumps and bangs well. Lots of space readily at hand to store and stash stuff. Tundra interior is Work Truck approved by this working man.

My 97 saturn has over 100k on the original breaks so there! lol.

I would agree that this truck could have been perfect if they didn't cheapen certain parts and by cutting certain corners, us first buyers of 07 trucks paid top dollar with belief of quality, IN WHICH TOYOTA WAS ASHAMED OF.
They were ashamed, but we paid the price.
Couldn't have put it better myself. If I had got this truck at the price it is now selling for I would be much more content. I actually fear my tranny is going to fail, I just hope it happens before I'm out of warranty. At 50-53ish mph I get this groaning in the drivetrain. It almost feels like something is binding or rubbing.
