I recently got a set of Long Tubes installed on the truck and modified it slightly to enhance the experience.. As all you guys out there who have looked under your trucks know, there are 2 catalitic converters on each pipe aft of the headers manifold bringing the total to 4 cats in the front section. DT's Long Tube headers replaces the 1st set with a pipe leaving us with another set of 2 catalitic converters. I custom made cat pipes to rid me of the 2nd set of cats leaving me with only the rear cats.. Mild steel was used for the conversion (not the best but thats whats available, i might drop them for a set of stainless steel pipes soon but i just wanted to see how effective the mod is at first before spending a fortune).. I also added 1/2 inch spacers on the tubes where the 02 sensors go to avoid the CEL going off however dont take my word as granted as of now because there still is a chance it may light up again.. Ive drove the truck all day after carrying out the mod and till now no CEL (thank god).. hopefully it will stay this way. I will put an update on that ASAP along with some pics!! Lets not talk about the way it sounds now!!! what a beast!!
Yes this thread begs for pics of what you did. And what was the overall cost?

TRD Anti-Sway Bar, left red at least they can recognize that color.
Naked, no one will ever know what just passed them up. Heck they probably don't even know the color.
If you get a check engine light it will be from removing the front set, not the second set. The second set of cats don't have any sensors so there's no way for the truck to know if they're there or not. I removed my second set of cat 7,000 miles ago and have never had any problems from it.

There may be some merit on using a spacer for the rear 02 sensors.
What might actually work is welding an O2 bung onto the pipe, but not have any whole drilled into the pipe. Then drill a small whole, maybe 1/8". This would damp'in the sensor signal. I havent tried any of this though.
A proven fix is the O2 modification in my gallery, it works just fine.

BTW - When messing with removed front Cats, the ECM can take up to 500 kms to though a code. And always reset the Computer by unpluging the battery every time you modify the rear O2 sensors.

CEL light came back on today.. "Low c1500" i had a look at your 02 mod but i dont think i have the electrical skill to do that.. i guess ill have to stick with the URD 02 simulators! Problem is, i did the same mod on the land cruiser i had prior to the tundra.. the LC had an O2 sensor and each side of the headers manifold, and a sensor behind the converter (on both sides), i put spacers the same way i did on the tundra n it worked... I believe the problem is i didnt put spacers on the front sensors (attached infront of where the 1st set of cats were), and the only way to do that is have a screw in spacer made!! Its a long story i dont wanna get into.. the easiest way to do it is wait another week (according to URD) for them to put the O2 sim on thier website and buy them off there!!
Good news is, i got you guys the pictures of the mod, pls bare in mind that this mod cost me $150 n the shop didnt have a mandrel bender so i opted for welding everything together. Furthermore, the material used for the piping is cheap mild steel. Although it may not show it, but they gave me a huge gain in power plus an exhaust note like no other.. the truck is a total beast now! Enjoy:-
(BTW, i wouldve liked to comment on every picture individually explaining the key points presented but i didnt know how to post them individually on the site. However, the pictures show you the piping and the weld points present, it also shows the sensor spacers, the location of where the original converter would be etc...)
Hope this helps, and if you guys want anything such as sound clip or anything similar, i will try to arrange for that ASAP

URD used my design (I think) so the URD simulators should work fine.
