Well have a look. In the end they take alot way from the Tundra for driving impressions. The only section where they have the scores of 6, 3 and 1. So Tundra go killed due to the Ford getting 6 and Tundra getting 1. I swear they did this to MAKE the Tundra lose. If they would have scored this section the same as the others Tundra would have won.
Whats your thoughts? It didnt help that they compared a SR5 TRD to a Lariat and LTZ. Had they tested a Limitted NON TRD it would have done alot better.
I agree with you both. It's kinda BS. They knew it that the Tundra will win if they had compared the limited non TRD. They will have to score the driving impressions and ride the same way or close to the others; and since the powertrain is the same for the SR5 and the limited model the Tundra will have slaughter the contest. But you have to understand they can't make the Tundra (a non-American truck, according to the un-educated) win or else they will lose all their sponsors and/or recieve unlimited hate mails...
I meant non-American truck referring to that the truck is as American or more American then most others being that it is built by our hard working Americans here in the United States. Although I think, it was a good article to read.
I will say that it is amazing how far Half Ton trucks have come in the last 10 years. I do like the new F150, Silverado, and RAM. I went with Toyota this time due to relibility, and powertrain.
Still how do they do a SR5 vs. a Lariat, and LTZ? At least make somewhat fair.
They kept the nannies on. For best quarter mile times, they absolutely have to be turned off and use 4WD. If that was done the Tundra would have buried them (although the Chev and Dodge are still respectable).
It is also important to note Chev does not offer the 6.2 in an RCSB whereas the Tundra does. In that case the Tundra times drop to 14 flat, or a second and a half faster than the Chev. That is obliteration.
Well dont get me wrong, I love my Tundra (really!) but it is the worst riding pick up I have ever had.
Its also the first full size 4wd I've owned, and I just blame it on that.
Well that and the fact that nobody but nobody can balance my wheels
You just need to find the right guy for the job. I had that experience also....inexperienced tire busters and you will hear about how your rim is bent etc. Just go somewhere else and find a guy with a clear complexion and your problems will disappear.
Did any one notice that some turcks had running boards while others did not and they counted that against them for the clearance test
I like when some one does true head to head matches but pick ups .com made a mess out of this one by far . All you have to do is read the posts after the finals to see no one was happy with the way the test where run .

To add insult to injury, the Tundra also beat the Dodge in fuel economy, but the Tundra does not have the cylinder shutoff feature (MDS) like the Dodge.
I find it humorous that the gm's can't make it up the wet incline in 2wd with their rear locker, this is their own proving grounds that these two gm trucks was tested on. It's a shame to have your competition beat you on your own set-ups.
Another lame test imo.
