I know a bunch of you guys are running this tire in an A/T, which is one Im seriously considering. Im getting ready to do the readylift 2.5" with a 1" rear block and trying to make up my mind between these and the bfg 305's. So for those that chose this tire, now that youve had them for awhile, any regrets? issues? concerns? Im assuming with my lift all I will have to do is trim the skid plate. I also plan on installing the hypertech speedo calibrator to maintain proper shift points and speedometer/odometer readings. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

I've had mine on for over a year and had them siped wich real helps on snow/ice and wet. Great in muddy/fire road situations. For the price and the durability I don't think they can be matched.
I have the Toyo 285/75/18s. All I have is a leveling kit up front. My truck goes in to get the oil changed next week and the dealership is going to trim the skid plate for me while it's there. Only complaint I have about the tires, is the drop in gas mileage, although I shouldn't complain about it, I knew bigger tires would make an impact. I've used the same tires in the past on other vehicles, they're good tires, plus in my case were almost 400 cheaper then the BFs.

Do you have any pics? Not that I don't believe you, because I do... but I'd like to see wheelwell gap & tire clearance.
A couple more questions, Jay...
Was there a noticeable drop in power/accelaration?
Have you checked to see how slow your speedometer reads? (I'll guess that it reads 63-64mph when you're actually going 70mph)
According to the specs on the Toyo website, this tire size is 35.1" tall... about 3" taller than our stock tires, and about 1/2" wider.
I just put these tires on my truck a couple days ago.
They fit perfect with the ready lift 2.4" kit (which actually turned out to be around 2.75"). With the tires and lift, the front wheel well height increased by about 4 inches. (Sorry for the vague measurement, I have them all written down at home).
As for rubbing issues.... I had the skid plate bent up below the sway bar just to be safe and I removed the little mud flaps in front of the tires. There was only one incident of rubbing when I was at full left lock and on a wierd angle, however they touched just enough to make a bit of noise without any sort of damage. (Please don't hold me to this because I've only had them 3 days with limited driving time.)
The spacer made the ride a tad bit more firm, but i'm super picky and notice stupid things like that. On that note, the toyo's seem to feel much softer than the crappy BFG's that came with the TRD package and therefore even out any change in ride. They are also quieter on the freeway and around town than the old ones.
In my opinion these tires make the truck perfectly proportional and seem to be the best choice, especially considering the minimal increase in width.
Hope this helps.
BTW... It looks way better in person

We are actually talking about the A/T's here, not the M/T's. The A/T's are 34.8 x 11.3. As for the speedo readouts without correction, youve got it backwards. The speedo will say 60 when youre actually going 65.2

Thanks for the correction on A/T vs M/T specs.
However, I wasn't backwards on the speedo issue. I said that it likely reads 63-64mph when you're actually travelling 70mph. You said that it reads 60mph when you're actually going 65.2mph. We're saying the same thing... just at a different speed of travel.

Youre right, I had read yours wrong, sorry about that.

I have the 305 65 18 BFG's on Moto Metal 18" with a 3" lift on my 07 Tundra and the Toyo 285 65 18 AT on my Nissan and the Toyo's perform and wear much better. The BFG's are great off-road but unless you use your truck as a farm or hunting truck I would go with the Toyo's. That is the tire I am going to go with on my Tundra next.

Thanks klane, thats the kind of feedback Im looking for. I know BFG's are good tires, but I see enough "bad" reviews about them on different tire websites to question what might be better. Since the toyos and bfg's Im looking at basically weigh the same, Im trying to decide to I go with more height in the toyos (as well as they fit the 18x8 trd rims better being a 285) or more width with the bfgs. Toyos are 34.8 x11.3, bfg's 33.7 x 12.2.
