I had my 4.7 4X4 RCSB out on the freeway yesterday and it would cruise along with ease at 85-90 MPH. I'm curious, what is the top speed of the various models ?? I didn't do a search so I will apologize if this info has already been generated.
Not sure about the 4.7's but the 5.7's top speed is computer limited unless you install the TRD supercharger kit. Most of what I have read says the speed limiter kicks in around 112 to 115 mph.

That makes sense, I know my car will go right up to the redline and then the ignition(MSD) will "limit' it. I don't know if the Tundra will reach the redline in 5th (or 6th) or run out of power before it gets there. I was just curious, I don't have any intention of pegging it but it sure is loafing at 2-3 thousand RPM.
I don't really have the desire to test the top speed limit on my truck - I'm not at all comfortable going triple digit speeds in a nose-heavy truck with stock p-rated tires. However, I did check the top speed on a dyno - speedometer said 119 when the engine was cutting out and that's plenty fast for me.

my 2007 4.7 tops out @ 115 with plenty more to go before limiter kicks in.

I can't remember where I saw it but someone had mentioned turning on the hazard lights to bypass the limiter. I read that and instantly though BS but then out of boredom one day I tried it and my Garmin agreed with the speedometer at 123. I didn't go any further because I was running out of road and I didn't wanna risk anything even more stupid than speeding like an idiot, haha.
Anyway, just thought I'd chime in. If I ever get brave enough again I'll try to do it again and take a pic of the GPS max recorded speed.

and no, the hazards dont do anything, as stated before in posts. so, sir, your garmin and you are lying unless you are just going really fast downhill with a tail wind pushing you past the speed limiter.
