Default Got my Weathertech liners. question about Husky's

So, I received my weathertech liners for my crewmax. Had them in the tacoma and loved them. replaced my Husky's when these things came out. (i waste a lot of money on mats).

This time around I am disappointed with the coverage. Passenger side firewall does not give the coverage that the carpet originals do. If your passenger has their feet resting on the slant of the firewall, the top of their feet will rest on the trucks carpet, not the mat. I had to leave the stock mat underneath to get the same coverage.

I exchanged a few emails with the manu, and it is due to limitations of the mold machine. However, I am feeling like I paid a ton of money for less coverage than the stockers. I could understand the drivers side having a little less coverage due ot safety issues (could have at least covered the foot rest), but not the passenger side.

Does anyone have the Husky's and do they have the same problem? I am wondering if I should return them. Anyone else notice this?

I've got the husky's in my '07 double cab and they cover great. As you said, on the slant on the passenger side....the husky's cover it.

I have not seen Husky's, but I do not like weathertech, feels like plastic. The coverage is not that great either. Go for CatchAll mats.

Interesting.. I got my weathertechs last week, and was SUPER pleased with the fit in my '08 DC. The coverage was far greater than the carpeted mats that they replaced. I also bought a set of the tundra all weather mats from the dealership when I picked up the truck -- they were just awful in comparison, so returned them. Now that you are talking about the passenger side, I'll have to go take a look to see if I can tell what your talking about.

I got husky mats and they are great........the lips on the mats can hold water pretty well because I do a lot of water sport. Cleaning is very easy since all the liquid and dirt are contained in the mat, just carefully not to spill it and spray it with a hose.

So I went out and looked at my weathertechs.. and i'm confused but what your saying.. My passenger side is identical in coverage to my driver's side. Its full coverage all the way around, and goes up a couple inches on the firewall. For my passenger to get mud or whatever on the firewall or the center console, they would have to purposely lift their foot up and kick it.
