Has anyone Unlocked the Bluetooth?

I have a Limited CM without the Nav System. If you are in park and receive a phone call, the number displays on the screen. Once you take it out of park, the incoming number no longer displays. I know they do this for safety, but it is much more dangerous for me to have to remove the phone from its holster while wearing a coat and with my seatbelt on. It would be much safer just to be able to glance at the radio display and determine if I want to accept the call.

Has anyone checked into disabling the drive signal to the radio/bluetooth?

Its the same software that switches off the DVD player when in motion it is controlled by the gear selector, GPS and speed wire.

Short of just disconnecting them and/or using a speed pulse unit then you are stuck with it

Use the diy thread to unlock the dvd...search for "downgrading firmware" and you should find it no problem...

im sure there was someone here who just pulled the speed sense wire out of the plug. and it worked fine. not sure what it did to his NAV functions though. search in the audio forum.

anyone have a suggestion that might help him? it appears all you guys are suggesting things for nav equipped trucks and he clearly stated his is without the navigation system...

I was driving to lunch and received a call while driving away from a mail drop box and noticed that I had the phone number displayed on the radio. So it must be controlled by the speed sensor. If I am traveling below a certain speed (maybe 5 mph) the numbers display. Once I am traveling down the road, the numbers no longer display.

There is another thread with the same question as yours. I can't find it right now but if I remember correctly he removed the speed sense wire from the HU and the the number displays all the time now. I'll look for it.
