Better yet.....Add a super charger to the Tundra drivetrain and throw it in the Superduty. I would buy that.

AGREE!

Ford is just conservative with their trucks. 300 HP is more than enough to get the job done and they're to lazy to improve it.

Overall at this point and time I still think the Tundra is the best suited for me even with the weak bed and tailgate. The Tundra just tows so damn well for a 1/2 ton while still getting decent MPG.

The auto industry is changing like crazy right now. I will buy what works best for me, I'm not brand loyal with anything.

I am reading all this NEW stuff added to 09 dodge and ford truck 1/2 tons, and they call it new.

I say to myself, hay my 07 crewmax already has that.

I am no mechanic but GMC is advertising a C chanel rear part of frame to hall more, ford with its shocks on the outside of frame........hm sounds like my 07 TUNDRA.

It sounds like catch up for so many features that I already have on 07.

I just wish interior was more UPGRADED TOUGH ON MY CREWMAX LIKE MY PREVIOUS 99 F 150..... YES SOME THINGS I LIKE IN OLDER DOMESTICS LIKE: TAILGATE, SHEETMETAL TOUGH, PAINT, INTERIOR PLASTICS THAT MY DOG couldn't scratch!!

Right side of dash, passenger, 1/4 inch drop and I'm leaving that alone cause no rattle, only simple fix. If they take dash apart to fix drop, then it might start to rattle and shake and no thank you.

I know....this belongs in the MY DASH IS DROPPING THREADS.

I have a lot about 1 minute from my house that always has about 10 Tundras on it and every single one of them has the drop on the right side including mine so I'm confused about that. All I've had replaced was a loose vent in 20,000 miles.

The 1/4 drop on the right is normal. It was a deal that Toyota had with McDonalds. If you spill HOT coffee on your dash, it will run AWAY from the driver

If there's spilled coffee on my dash it will probably end up on the back window with the way I drive.

Well, from a physics point of view longer leaf springs would reduce lateral stability by allowing more lateral flex. They do however, increase ride comfort.

The Tundra's trapezoidal leaf spring configuration takes advantage of triangulation to reduce lateral movement.

I wish that the interior on our Tundras was much betterbuilt as well. My rearview mirror is rattling now, along with my dash, my seat, and my driver's door. It's driving me up a WALL.

Take it to the dealer than! You obviously have had problems with your Tundra so take care of it or don't complain any longer!

Check out this months issue of Popular Mechanics. It has completely different test results; they still favor the 09 F-150 but it shows the Tundra with better MPG, towing and a few other areas. Having just dumped a 2005 F-150 XLT Crew Cab because the right head had to be replaced at 30,000 miles, I think I will stick with the Tundra.

one thing to be said for the new Fords. I have owned and driven every truck. There is a feature on the new Ford which is sweet, integrated trailer brake built right in. that is impressive, and hopefully one day it will be standard.

that being said, i hope it's quality... with a level and inertia sensor like the Tekonsha's have. Knowing Ford, though, it probably will have electrical issues. Still, kudos to them for taking the initiative.

Popular mechanics actually placed the tundra last and the f150 first...i guess ford has a bigger advertising budget this year. If you look at their highlighted points in the comparision you would think the ford should be last.

Ford can show all the frame flexing they want, apparently they havent seen any real big trucks as they flex a lot.
