Ok, so I just installed a TRD sway bar. The lower end link bolts (for those of you who have the sway bar) weren't the right size. I had to c-clamp a ratchet to the work bench and use my biggest wrench (almost 2 feet) to FORCE the nuts onto the bolt. the nuts DESTROYED the threads on the bolt and it got so hot from the friction that the nylon "locking" part of the nut melted off on one of the nuts... I finally managed to get it all together because Im incredibly stubborn and knew I would have to wait for new parts anyway. It took me almost 4 hours to get it all together because of this bull. Has anyone else had this problem?

Same thing happened to me but Sparks took care of it and sent me the correct hardware. Just had to wait a few days to install.

Mods. Door sill protectors, Weather tech floor liners front and rear, chrome front door handles, Access rollup bed cover, rubber bed mat, chrome tailgate handle, billet aluminum layover grill (to protect the a/c condensor),tube steps, TRD rear sway bar, color matched fender flares, and tinted front side windows, Line-X, prodigy brake controller, added factory backup camera and flip down screen.
Tow a 27 foot TT with a loaded weight of about 7000 pounds.
Went thru the same scenario with my install. Took a quick trip to Home Depot, got the right bolts and it went together rather quickly. Cant believe TRD is still shipping the wrong bolts.
yeah it happened to me.... I'm stubborn too I just used my impact wrench to get it on till the new parts came. I called TRDUSA and they shipped out the new hardware in 2 days. Also be careful of the torque specs they tell you. My saddle brackets started to collapse before I was even close to the right torque
I was good with all the torque specs until the 4 U-bolt brackets. Those I think I hit 32 ft/lbs when the saddle brackets started to flare out. I actually had to take them off hammer them straight and re-install them. Unfortunately my point of view under the truck was not the best so I didn't notice the bent bracket until I started on the second one.
I have recently bought TRD sway bar from Sparks and it came with all the right hardware. I haven't installed it yet but checked the contents and the nuts fit the corresponding bolts properly
Just ordered my from sparks $233 shipped! Its funny all I was going to do to my truck was tint the windows, now I have done rims and tires and swaybar. I keep trying to talk my self out of the bilstein 5100s but I know I will give in and order them too.Dam it all to Hell!
I didn't want to deal with it. I ordered mine thru my dealer $210 + tax, then they put it on for $40. They took care of it when the Truck was in for it's scheduled maintanence.

Yup. After spending $240 for the "real thing" TRD sway bar I had to drive 40 miles to the nearest Lowes and get the right nuts to finish the job. I'm not impressed by TRD quality control.

i just dont think it makes sense to force nuts and bolts together when we know they dont fit...if it doesnt go on why be suprised when it destroys the threads when u are being stubborn? yeah, u showed them haha
