Finally! Chicago gets hit with a true snow storm! I got on the main tollway I-88 at about 5:15 this morning and I was hauling down the interstate! It was so fun passing people, especially if they had a Ford or Chevy emblem on the tailgate I passed only one Tundra this morning, and when I did, he followed me and stayed with me! It was so much fun flying down the tollway without white knuckles for once!
How has everyone else experience been so far with the winter weather??

I have to be honest, the Rugged Trails aren't as bad as everyone else is making them out to be. But I am coming from an IS300 [rear wheel drive] so virtually everything is gonna feel better to me!

Yeah, they're as bad as everyone makes them out to be. My truck slid backwards down my driveway and onto the street one day last winter. The Rugged Trails are terrible, and downright dangerous. They have no grip. I didn't even bother selling them as I would feel guilty knowing someone else had these garbage tires. They went straight to the dump.
Got myself some Dueler Revos after that and they are awesome. Much, much better grip.
Ya, as I posted in one of the other threads about snow/tires/etc, my RT T/As basically spun in my driveway at practically IDLE. I had to put it into 4hi to get out, whereas my mazda got out no problem and it went first and "broke trail" for the tundra!
I was almost ready to pull the truck out with the protege :P

I've been happy with the rugged trails as well. The Tundra handles alot better than the AWD 04 Suburban that I had before the Tundra.

Snoop23 - I just drove in from Lombard to Rosemont (Chicago O'Hare) and thought it was mildly fun. I was hoping for and expecting a lot more from the forecasts yesterday.
We've gotten a bit, had some fun in the tundra but can't WAIT to get the RuggedTrails off and the SilentArmors on tonight!
Was fun watching people on my street get stuck, and i'd just drive around them in the snow...
Let me know how you make out with the Silent armors. I just had them put on my Tundra, but it's laid up so I won't be able to play with it for a while .

We got nailed today in Michigan with about 7 inches so far. Tundra drives awesome in the snow . Does anybody esle have a problem with the wipers. They are great in rain but seem to suck in the snow. With the windshield heater on it seems like the snow sticks to them then wipers ice up. Even with defroster on full blast . Anybody else have any problems. My last 3 Toyota trucks never had this problem.
